I felt like making a fan fiction since, looking through this area, I saw none. So, I'm hoping you all enjoy it! This may be my first good one. I'll try to make it a... crowd pleaser...? xD

Even if you are not a fan of Detective Conan, I am planning on keeping it simple for awhile. Who knows how long I'll run this as long as I'm having fun! and yes, I enjoy comments.

Anyways! Enjoy~!

Kuroba Kaito grinned at his work on the front page of the newspaper. His code was amazing! He used a mix of two, and for that matter, used a separate language! Of course, he thought he was being generous, giving the little detective a week to solve it. For the great mind of Kudo Shinichi, this should be no problem.

"Kaito! What are you grinning about!?" A girl cried from behind him in a huff. Kaito looked up at her and blinked with a clueless expression on his face. "Aoko, did you gain a few pounds?"

Aoko's eye twitched as she clenched her teeth together and growled at him. "You!" Grabbing the large broom from the corner of the room, she quickly went to strike him with it.

"Whoop!" Kaito hopped up out of his seat and landed on top of the broom end. "Heh-ee! don't tell me you're upset because I noticed! Aoko's getting fat~!"

"Why you! there's enough stress at home because of that damned Kaito Kid's code! You don't have to make everything worse you a** hole!" Aoko screeched, pulling the broom out from under him.

Kaito hopped off and pranced across the room. "Eh? What's this? kaito Kid got the best of your dad again!?" Aoko chased after him furiously, swinging the broom at him like a psychopath. "I hate you! i hate you, Kaito! you're so mean to me!"

"Hah~ Common, Aoko! You're too soft!" Kaito said with a chuckle as he swiftly dodged each of her swings. the teacher watched the two bickering, the chalk in hand snapping as his eye twitched. H'... how could they fight like this constantly!? "Kaito! Answer this problem!" He yelled, pointing to a very complex math problem on the board that they had just learned a few days ago.

"Two hundred seventy and six sevenths!" Kaito cried as she chuckled, dodging a close call from Aoko by hopping up and clinging to the corner of the ceiling. He pulled her eye lid down and stuck his tongue out at her while making annoying noises at her.

Aoko screamed in anger before jabbing the broom head up at Kaito. He hopped off from the ceiling, laughing hysterically as he hopped up onto the desk to continue taunting her. The teacher growled again, then shouted out, "Aoko! Solve this problem on the board, then!"

"Twenty two and twenty one hundredths!" She cried as she swung for Kaito again. He hopped over the broom, again dodging her. "Common, Aoko! too slow! Nah-nah!" He hopped over behind her and ran across the classroom to continue the game of cat and mouse as the teaching started stomping on his chalk. How could he teach his class a lesson when those two answered the questions perfectly!? Those two... Kuroba Kaito and Nakamori Aoko...

"Ehh? That stupid thief is at it again?" Detective Mouri mused to himself as he held the morning paper out. He sighed, looking over to Ran whom was busily making breakfast. Ran flipped an egg on the frying pan before looking over to her father. "Really? Again? What is he after this time?"

"Some Mela Verde." Mouri said as he yawned. He looked away from the article and started to read other droll news. "Some dutches from Italy is showing it at the new museum in Beika for her birthday."

"Really...?" Ran thought to herself. Suddenly Conan popped into her head. She plated the breakfast quickly, then placed it in front of her father. "dad, can you not let Conan know about that? Every time he hears about Kaito Kid, he gets so interested and usually runs after him. I don't want him to get mixed in with that guy anymore..."

Mouri looked up to Ran, then shrugged, folding up the newspaper. Right then, the genius youth prodigy walking into the kitchen and looked up to Ran. "What guy, Ran-neechan?"

"Uh, oh! Conan-kun! Nothing! It's nothing! I'm making your breakfast now, okay?" She said with a nervous smile. She quickly went back to cooking, hoping that Conan would not start to interrogate her for answers.

The little kid only quirked a brow to Ran. He sighed, thinking it must be something silly. As Ran finished cooking, Conan's eyes were already glued on the front page of the newspaper. Kaito kid's message, he understood most of it. But what was this strange code? Each part of it was six numbers, either zeros or ones. Was this... Binary code?

Ran quickly swiped the newspaper away from Conan's sight and gave him an angry look. "You're not going, Conan-kun. You always get yourself in trouble when you are around that thief."

Conan blinked and stared up at Ran, then grinned. "R-ran-neechan! I was just looking. Why would I chase such a mean guy?" He said nervously whilst scratching the back of his head. In all truth, he wanted to go. Kaito Kid called him, the Littlest Detective. He wanted a showdown with him again, and Conan wanted to be the one to catch that thief once and for all. "A-anyways, Ran-neechan. I promised Haibara that I would meet up with her before school!" He said before grabbing his back pack and racing out the door with his solar powered skateboard.

Ran watched him go uneasily before looking back at the newspaper. "Littlest Detective..." She mumbled under her breath. Though it was unheard over the constant mean comments about Conan by her father.

Conan sat in his Japanese class, paying no attention to the teacher up front or his surrounding. all of his thought was left on the binary code before him. It was strange, the way it was set up. Some of these codes were strange. He could only successfully decipher a few of them. Tapping his pencil against his desk, he waited until he could figure out one of the letters before writing it down.

"Binary code?" Haibara asked in a whisper to him before giving off a sly smile. "My, my... two encryptions..." Conan looked up to Haibara and blinked before looking back down at the paper. Two Encryptions?

"I haven't done a lot of binary recently, so I have forgotten quite a bit. I got the numbers and most of the letters down, I'm only missing a few." He explained before pointing out a few unsolved codes. "They are not any of the English Alphabet. Do you know them?"

"These are symbols." Haibara explained, taking her own pen and filling in the blanks. "It should be like that."

Conan blinked and looked down at the code. An English currency symbols, and a long line? It like like a lower case 'L'. "Are you sure this is it? I thought the binary for 'L' was-"

"That is not an 'L'." Haibara explained before sighing. "There is a symbol that is also a single line, but it is slightly longer than the lowercase 'L'."

Conan looked to Haibara, a bit amazed at something he noticed. "You are being awfully helpful today, Haibara." He said. Haibara perked up and looked at him surprised, then gave him a scowl. "What am I supposed to do? Listen to you tap your pencil all class trying to figure out some silly code?"

"What silly code?" The teacher said, having snuck up behind Conan during their conversation. She crossed her arms, giving them both an upset look. Conan chuckled nervously and waved his hands at the teacher. "I-... I saw the newspaper this morning and Kaito Kid's code interested me. I thought I'd try and solve it, but it is much to hard, teacher!"

"eh? that code he placed in his P.S. you mean?" the teacher asked before snapping out of the delusion. "Anyways, this is not the time to be doing such things, Edogawa. Answer the question on the board please." She stated bluntly before walking back to the front of the classroom.

"Uh, oh. Verbs are actions for nouns, such as throw, solve, jump, etc." He answered. The teacher gave the intelligent kid a dumbfounded look, then sighed and returned to teacher, cursing to the fact that she could not teach her class a lesson on why you should pay attention to class instead of doing silly codes.

Conan sighed, then returned to the code, listing all of the letters together. Binary code, thank goodness, had spaces as well. He looked at the strange code before him, wondering what this was. 'd373c71v3 h19h $ch00|'. This was another code? Wait, this looked like... high School? Something High School?

He blinked, finding this code only to be stranger and stranger. Was the first part of the code the same way? Or was he getting the wrong idea from this? He sighed, then started writing down the obvious look alike letters. 'd_ _ _c_Iv_.' He blinked, wondering for a moment before his eyes glinted and he grinned. Quickly he scribed down the answer. 'Detective High School.' Or, 'Tantei High School.' This reminded him of the bomber mystery case. He had helped the police rid of all the bombs in this High School before. All you had to do was switch the position of the Tan and Tei and you had it. Teitan High School; Ran's High School. His old school.

Haibara gave off a soft chuckle, then mocked him, "Oh, you have that look again. you solved it, eh?"

"Yeah..." Conan said with a smile. Now that he had the meeting place, he only had to get there before midnight on the night of the heist. Perfect...
