I was wondering if anyone knew anything about how the Crate RFX200S Combo sounded. I pretty much play everything so I'm not going for a specific sound, I was just curious what people who've played it thought of it. I live in a very isolated place, so it's hard to me to get to a music store that actually caries anything I'm interested in, therefore I really like to hear peoples opinions before I go to the trouble of looking at the store. Thanks people.

You should order online if you are sure of an amp you want. I haven't played Crate in many years so I don't know what they sound like now. from what I remeber they weren't half bad for a starter amp, but that was when all I had was an epiphone 8" practice amp.

They still aren't bad. I've been a Crate owner for years and they still are pretty awesome. They even have top of the line stuff now. You can't go wrong with Crate.

Crate makes some decent amps and I would definatly consider replacing a starter amp with them, but by no means do they make anything close to "top of the line" and I'm well aware of the full crate line.
