Probably not. 6: If you think you guys are, are you totally fooling yourself? N/A Don't think so 7: Is your Director a good director? Yes, but we're getting a new director this year. Ours is moving away. 8: Or is she/he really stinky? No 9: Do you know more about your instrument than your director does? No, she's been playing since she was a child. 10: Cause he also teaches band and they just forced him to do orchestra too? No, we have a seperate orchestra conducter and two band conducters. 11: What chair are you? First 12: Are you happy with that chair? Yes 13: Should you totally be first or second chair, but you’re not? I am... 14: Is the first chair guy really super amazing? No... 15: Like, you could never be that good? N/A.... 16: Have you ever broken your string instrument? No, I try to take good care of it because of the price tag. 17: How much did it cost to be repaired? No 25: How many times have you needed to replace your rosin? Once 26: Have you ever busted/lost your rosin? I was once using it and out of nowhere it just broke into about six pieces on me. 27: Do you have a shoulder rest? Yes, I do. 28: A battery powered tuner with the little digital dial? Yes, but it sucks and I want one that actually works correctly. 29: A colored music stand? No, mine is black. 30: Tapes for finger placement? Yes, they're red. I don't need them, nor do I look at them, and I need to remove them. I'm just really lazy. 31: Did you ever use tapes? Yea 32: Have you ever played at a performance without a rockstop? Yes 33: Have you ever been at a performance without essential equipment, or music? During most of my performances we are really low on music stands, but other then that no. 34: Have you ever used your bow as a weapon? I poke people with the point, but I won't slash it around because I don't want to break it. 35: Your instrument as a weapon?? No! 36: Is your bow hold screwed up? No, its fine. At first it was.... not right, but now its like it is supposed to be. 37: Do you have trouble with it? No 38: Is your other hand position wrong? No 39: What’s your biggest problem with your playing? Bowing perfectly straight 40: Is shifting into positions hard for you? Not really 41: Does it get out of pitch and sound like a sick armadillo? No 42: Are your fingernails clipped? Yes 43: Go clip them now! 44: Are you good at vibrato? Eh, so so. 45: How long had you been playing when you learned it? Or, do you want to learn it? We started working on it this year. 46: Have you ever eaten something sticky and then tried to play? No 47: Didn’t work very well did it? N/A 48: Are your best friends in the orchestra? One of my friends is, but not any of my best friends. 49: Are you all at the same skill level? We're both in first chair, but, in my opinion, I'm better than her. 50: Have you ever been to any contests? Solo 51: What were they? It was called Solo Contest. Oh so original. 52: And how did it go? I gots a ribbon. 53: What’s the best song you’ve ever played? I played the advanced part of 1812 overature, and did work on Viva La Vida, but it was really easy. 54: What’s the worst? I guess I'll have to agree with a lot of the other quiz takers and say Mozart. 58: If you don’t know any than you shouldn’t be playing! (Unless it’s your first year or something) 59: Do you make money off of your hobby? Nope... 60: Have you seen a professional concert? Like Andre Rieu or Joshua Bell? Still don't need it. 69: Have you ever lost your instrument? No. 70: Did you get it back? Or what would you do if you’ve never lost it before? N/A 71: Have you named your string instrument? Yes, all of them. 72: What’s its name? My 1/2 size was Mr. String. I know, I'm not original. My 3/4 size was stipes, because of the markings on the back of the violin. My violin now, my full size, is Miss. V. I don't search hard for their names. 73: Do you play any other instruments? Nope 74: Do you play them better or like them more than your string instrument? N/A 75: Can you sing also? I can sing, but I don't beliee my voice is great. Some people like my voice, but I still don't like it much. I am enrolled in our school choir. 76: If not, that’s why you picked up an instrument in the first place huh? No choir for me! 77: Are you famous for your playing? Nope 78: Do you wish you were famous? I don't plan on pursuing my instrument and creating a career with it. 79: Are you a loud player? Yes, very, very much. 80: Or do you play more softly? I hate playing softly, and can't stand going into parts where it makes you play piano. I would prefer forte. 81: Do you have a uniform for performances? No, but for our last preformance, we did have a choir tee shirt. But we wore our own pants. 82: If so, is it hideous? The tee shirt is cute, but the blue isn't to pretty. 83: Is it hot and itchy? No, actually just as comfy as any other tee shirt. 84: Have you ever had to do something gay (no offense) while you are playing? Like stomping or yelling or whatever? We had to play a whole piece where almost all of it is movements. We clapped, snapped, rubbed our hands together, stomped, popped our mouth, and in the middle, one girl had to stand up and scream. 85: Embarrassing isn’t it? A little bit. 86: Do you get nervous before a performance? No 87: Is your instrument a rental or do you own it? It was a rental, but its payed off so now I own it. 88: Is it trashy? No, I love my violin. 90: If you live with your parents, do they make you play for them sometimes? No, they don't 91: Your parent doesn’t play a string instrument do they?! Nope. But, when my great grandma was young, she did play cello. 92: Don’t you hate it when another section has to practice and you have to sit there and do nothing? Yes, so boring. 93: Are you a terrible sight-reader? I actuall enjoy sight reading, and I'm not horrible at it. 94: What is your favorite scale to do? I'll have to go with the famously easy and boring D Major. 95: How many bass players do you have in your orchestra? Three, basically two though because one sucks and barely ever comes to practice 96: Is that not nearly enough? I think its enough 97: Do you ever get that electric feeling when you’re playing and it’s like the best thing ever? As long as my years don't pop in the process or something. 98: Can you get that same exact feeling with anything else? Something like it at Gymnastics. I like them both, so.... Yea. I actually think I like Gym better, so either way. 99: But it's still slightly different if you can. 100: Do you enjoy your hobby? And plan on enjoying it for years to come? Yes, but I don't want to create a career with it. 101: Did you notice there was no 89? There was no fricken 89? So that's why you made a 101...the vampire with a beating heart

Dark Twitchy Hello people! I notice all the time there are quizzes and stuff for band players, and they always leave us orchestra nerds in the dust. So I made a small quiz for your enjoyment! (and to read and say "Thank God that's happened to someone else!") I've tried to make it as universal as possible, but it might be leaned more towards violin since that’s the only experience I have. If a question doesn’t apply to you, then just ignore it or make something up. Please no spamming or making negative comments about someone else’s answers. Have fun! (And by the way, this quiz sucks!)1: How long have you been playing?SIX YEARS 2: Are you in your school/college orchestra?SCHOOL BUT GO TO REDLANDS UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MUSIC YES(YOUTH ESEMBLE OF STRINGS) 3: Are you in an orchestra out of school/college? 4: Are you in a professional orchestra?NOT YET 5: Or do you think your orchestra is good enough to be professional?MABE 6: If you think you guys are, are you totally fooling yourself? 7: Is your Director a good director?YES A COLLEGE PROFESSER 8: Or is she/he really stinky? 9: Do you know more about your instrument than your director does?NO 10: Cause he also teaches band and they just forced him to do orchestra too?A LONG TIME AGO 11: What chair are you?1ST 12: Are you happy with that chair?YES 13: Should you totally be first or second chair, but you’re not? 14: Is the first chair guy really super amazing?YES I AM 15: Like, you could never be that good?(even though you will be someday!) 16: Have you ever broken your string instrument?YES BUT IDID NOT MY FREIND THEW IT AGAINST THE WALL 17: How much did it cost to be repaired?200 18: Have you ever dropped your instrument?YES 19: Have you ever stepped on it?NO 20: Sat on it?NO 21: Let some idiot borrow it and then they broke it?
