I apologize if this resembles anyone else's work. I assure you, I have not read any poetry besides my own, and The Raven. This is a lighter one, conjured during (get this) a walk in a park. rolleyes
A verdant field, speckled with blooms, Miniature suns that change into moons. Mysterious dark, the violet sits shy, While flocks of red thrushes take to the skies. Vibrant and daring, some pink trees I spot, It's quite popular, I can see quite a lot. Innocent, sweet, a silky white cloud, Attached to the earth as petals fall 'round. Picturesque, ephemeral, a moment just mine, But through my words it won't be lost to time...

*whistles* got some words in there I never heard before, great job on rhyming and having a great sense of flow. The scenery rocked as well, I could really imagine it.

Awesome imagery. I loved it, even though it wasn't my style.

I'm gonna have to give this one a Great Job. You really used the colors and scenery well. Though some might consider it cliche, I think the last lines intent of immortality (for the moment in time mentioned in the poem) makes this poem all the better.

I love it! I literally lost myself in the park just then. You are a wonderful poet. I'm wondering if maybe I could put that on my profile? (I'm making a new poetry section.) I won't steal it, it's to beautiful, so I'll put your name after it of course!
