So, every year my school has this special thing.
Throughout the year, teachers give you "Effort" grades.
1-5, 5 being the best.
Every year in May, the kids with a 4.0 Average or higher of Effort get to go to this really awesome mall called Easton for the whole day. Don't, you have to stay and do silly activites.
Freshmen Year: I moved in halfway through they year, but still managed a 4.5 E. "You're a halfie. You came in late. You don't count."
Sophomore Year: I got in, but they canceled the Easton trip and did "Fun activities" instead. >3>
This Year: I don't even get informed, because I go to Tolles, after my homeschool talked me into it.
BUT. This year I won an award.
For what, I have no idea.
But I'm really really tempted to ask the office "Can I go? D:"'
Hirun gets to go, but that's because he goes to HS for Half the day, and the other half Tolles.
Well.
Wonder if I should bother
If I'd make it

So, Went to (home) school, as I do every day till 7:40, then take a bus to Tolles. I dragged a friend to the office to ask about the award ceremony. Asked the secretary, and she said to ask the principal. The principal at the time walked to the front of the office, and I asked him. He said "Well, the award ceremony ends before 8:45, so I'm sure you can catch the bus then to go to Tolles."
Then I asked him "Uhm, Would it be possible to go to Easton? I've got a permission slip, and I really haven't gotten to go last two years due to technical difficulties or having entered mid year and being a 'halfie'... Please?"
"Lemme make some calls. >3> <3<;;"
So, he started asking people around, and Mrs. Huff (Now Piatt) came into the office along with the art teacher who are in charge of the whole Easton thing. At the same time, Mr. A comes out of his office (VP) and my friend Clara says "He's making a fool of himself. Want to watch?"
A: ... How's he doing that? o;
C: He's trying to get on the Easton Trip.
S: Yep. I'm a tolles student, so I sorta am trying my luck here.
A: Aha! Well then.
S: Wish me luck?
A: Best of luck! biggrin
He asks her and she says
H: We've got a Tolles student who's supposed to go? Who is it anyway?
(under her breath) Do they have any periods at Alder...?
(I don't.)
I raised my hand.
H: Oh. Did you turn in a permission slip? It's not so much if you can go, it's just there was a deadline.
S: Well, I have one right here, does this work?
H:Alright. Just add Hirun's name to the list for Tolles.
S:... I'm Shoy.
H: Oh. Whatever. Add Shoy's name to the list. Now go ask Doc to find out which bus you're on?
I headed upstairs and found Doc in the middle of the hallway.
"I have a question for you. I'm going on the Easton trip. Which bus do I ride?"
"You ride... Bus 3."
"Gotcha."
Went downstairs and found Mr. A in the hallway leaving the office. "How'd it go?" "I'M GOING. biggrin DDD" "Congratulations!" So we High Fived. o3o Suddenly the principal my friends call 'Hitler' became incredibly awesome.
I hung out in the office before asking if I could go and change. I brought my jeans in my bookbag, so I just changed and went to the assembly.
There I got a "Academic A" award, basically a Letterman Jacket A patch.
After that, everyone filed onto the bus. Hang out with a couple of friends, and then they took attendance. They called Hirun and my friend Rob, but they skipped me. I was the only one that knew why.
When we got there, everyone flooded from the bus, it's 10 AM, and we were the only ones there other than the staff (about 300+ people). Twas AWESOME.
So I got with a group of friends and was led off to hot topic. Got me a shiny new ring there (I've been wanting a silver ring for a while, so I got a silver one with etched checkered pattern. Winful.) They all browsed and got stuff. After that we headed to gamestop, and Hirun got MKWii.
Another group of friends headed off to see Iron Man. I wanted to join them, but felt I could better spend an hour and a half. So we headed off outside to a TWO STORY BARNES AND NOBLES. (on the entire other side of Easton from the buses.) Got me 4 new Manga. Melissa wanted to go get something for her mother for mother's day, so we spent about 10 minutes in Crate and Barrel. It was now 11:20, so we headed off to Gameworks (because they didn't open till 11 AM. We were going to go after Gamestop)
There we played a couple games. I played the Police game I heart. Grant got a card for himself and started playing a shooter game. House of Dead 4. HE GOT REALLY REALLY REALLY FAR on ONE credit. He died once, and got back in again, but the 2nd time he died Brittany had walked off with his card... so it was game over. >3>;;
Melissa was playing Tekken when some big guy came over and was all "hay ill play u." So she fought him and lost. So he took over the game. I thought this was REALLY REALLY RUDE. So I tried to kick his a** at the game. Beat him Round 1. Lost round 2, REALLY CLOSE Round 3, but I lost. D:
We then left for lunch at Max and Erma's. We got in and a table at 12:04. We were kinda panicking because we had to be back at the bus at 1 PM, so we didn't know if we had enough time. Got a table for 6, and sat there and got drinks. When she came to get our order, half of us got appetizers and the other half got actual meals.
Shoy: Original Hamburger with Fries <-- I know my price. $11.83
Grant: Double Cheeseburger + Fries
Josh: Bacon and Cheese Hamburger + Fries
Melissa: Potato Skins
Hirun: Cheese Fries with Bacon
Brittany: Pretzel Sticks
The waitress came back with our meals and boxes for our food in case we had to go. She came with the checks too (Indivdually! O: ) So we all paid and continued eating. At about 12:35 we all finished so we scooped what we couldn't eat into boxes. I kept my fries in a box and as we left I ran into some of my old friends and shared my Fries. Ate some myself, and we walked back towards the bus.
There was some really awesome scenery. A really cool fountain, and another COOLER fountain. And all the stores... I'd love to stay there for a bit longer. Not to shop, but just to sit and watch, and have a cool place to roam. We got halfway when we realized we had 15 minutes left for a 3 minute walk so we spent some time in the Sharper Image store.
After that we headed for the buses. There I met my friends who went to see the movie earlier. Apparently it didn't start till 11A and they missed the last 15 minutes of the movie. Sux2bthem. I still want to see that.
When we got to school, we had to sit in the Gym till the final bell rang. Shared what we got with friends who were off elsewhere, chatted, etc.
Then I remembered I gave my bookbag to Mrs Hall so I didn't have to carry it around all day. Went to her classroom kinda rushed because I didn't want to miss the bus. So I ran, she wasn't there. Went down, found Clara there, and we went to the office together to see where Hall was. They paged her on the PA, and she said "Come to my classroom." Went there, she wasn't there, made a lap of the building looking for her and decided ot tell the office to tell her to hold my backpack till Monday. By now Clara's all "IMMA GONNA MISS MY BUS. D: Bye." So I ran to Hall's room one last time. Sprinting. Full speed. "YOU'RE TOO FAST." Clara shouts. "You're just too slow! See you!" So I went to the room. STILL not there. So I listened and I heard her vice. She was next door! D< So I got her to give me my book bag, the school was practically empty by now, and she talked me abit so I RAN RANRANRANRAN all the way outside to find the bus home driving off. Ran like a maniac across the grass and parking lot to find my bus, hopped on, and wanted to pass out.
The kids around me started playing DS, so I pulled mine out and joined them via download play. Did that till I got home.
Jeebus I was tired and sore from running.
tl;dr
I went, awesome things happened.
Never try to sprint twice across a school building and back to try and catch a bus.

EFF YOU BOTH! LAST TIME I WAS AT EASTON WE JUST WENT TO THE WALMART RIGHT OUTSIDE OF EASTON AND PUT CONDOMS LAXATIVES MALE ENHANCEMENT PILLS CANTALOPE STRAWBERRIES WHIPPED CREAN AND CHOCOLATE SYRUP IN A SHOPPING CART AND LEFT IT IN THE TOYS AISLE...
Next time you go to easton... ******** TELL ME.

No, I think it's just me, but it's quite a sad time when people get excited about going to a mall.
I know, "Buzz you don't live in a middle of nowhere town, in the middle of nowhere Ohio, so you wouldn't know how it feels to go somewhere else". But I'll still think it's HILARIOUS that you guys are all "OMG YAY MALL!"

Easton's the biggest ******** mall around here. Bigger than the other two, an they're pretty large.

C: IT WAS DURING SCHOOL.Well, I didn't grow up in Ohio, so you can't expect me to be as excited about a mall during school as you, you know?
I don't know how to explain it other than by saying, I live in a fun place, and you live in a state that doesn't matter to most people. So, your idea of a fun time is like way different than our idea of a fun time. MEANING, I don't see any reason to get excited about going to a mall an hour away, that's huge, during school, and you do. Making us 2 completely different people, and making my life just a little more interesting than yours.

I'm living in Minnesota nowadays and they have the Mall of America. surprised Which people here use like a regular mall because it's like 15 minutues away from where I live.
I have to agree with Buzz on this one. But I'm still happy for you guys.

I live a 5 minute walk from a mall, but I feel your pain; the mall is painfully small. And the further we go away from my town, the bigger the malls get. For example, if we drive one hour, we can get to a bigger mall, (no names, stalkers! D: ) If we drive 5 hours, we get to Vancouver, with big malls and stuff, like Metrotown mall etc etc. And then if we drive like, REALLY far, we can go to West Edmonton Mall. :3
