This is a private RP between
Yuurei-dono (Yuurei)
and
Kyoupiruchi (Dr. Kyou)
Time: Late Morning
Weather: Dark skies, but not raining yet
Yuurei looked at the spherical bottle lying on her lap. She was down in her immaculate basement looking at the slowly swirling soul in front of her. How she missed Omen. It had been almost a week since she died and Yuurei was still depressed. Omen had been more than a playful kitten; she had been a companion, a familiar, and a friend.
Yuurei opened her right hand and looked at the small slip of paper that she found attached to the briefcase. There was no additional note, just a name and phone number. Dr. Kyou, Lab 305. Yuurei flashed back to the snowy day she picked up Sammy and she smiled, thinking of poor Lazarus landing in the snow.
Yuurei picked up her old fashioned telephone and dialed the number.
"Hello. May I please speak to Dr. Kyou?"

"Hello? You're looking for Dr. Kyou? Wait a moment." Lazarus spoke in a monotonous tone, obviously rather bored of being Kyou's personal assistant and answering calls for him. A more distance "Kyou, your phone call!" could be heard through the phone as Lazarus abandoned the receiver.
"Hello? Yes this is Dr. Kyou, how can I help you?" Another male voice came a moment later. Sounding a little breathless as he panted softly into the receiver.

Yuurei absentmindedly watched the soul bottle as a male voice answered the phone and told her to wait. When she heard Dr. Kyou's voice she barely recognized it from their short meeting about her butterflox.
"Hello Dr. Kyou! This is Yuurei," she said. Though she should have waited for a response, she was excited and nervous and continued, "I received the briefcase you sent and I wanted to inform you the round bottle has...my cat! My kitten in it!"

"Oh!! That's good news then!" Kyou exclaimed, excited. He just sent out the bottles about a week ago, and Yuurei had already caught a soul! But a pet cat, could it be accidental? Like Aphismet's scorpion? Kyou frowned a little at the line of thought, although Yuurei couldn't really see it Perhaps it wasn't such a good news after all. "Uh... I-I'm sorry. My condolences for your kitten's death. Sorry for being so... insensitive just now." he apologized in a more sincere and less excited tone. "But you know what? You just need to send the bottle with the briefcase back to me, and I'll settle your kitten's soul for you. You don't need to worry about a thing." in a gentle tone, he tried his best to console Yuurei.

Yuurei's eyes watered briefly as pushed her butterflox Sammy away and she thought of how Omen would have loved to chase Sammy away so she could concentrate on this important phone call.
"It's okay, Dr. Kyou," she said after a pause, "I wasn't really sure how to say it. She was hit by the delivery truck. . . - the one that brought the briefcase." Yuurei shook her head at the irony of it and sighed. "She always used to help me out and . . . this may sound strange, but I felt her presence. So I put the soul bottle on her bed with milk to lure her there. . ."
Yuurei paused, fairly alarmed. "What do you mean 'you'll settle her soul'?" Yuurei felt slightly uneasy. If Omen's soul was in turmoil in the bottle, she would definately have to send the bottle to Dr. Kyou as fast as possible.

That's unfortunate. Kyou thought grimly as he listen to Yuurei on the phone. Getting hit by the delivery truck, Kyou couldn't help but think that he indirectly killed Yuurei's cat by sending her the briefcase with the soul bottle and fel essence. He brushed that thought aside, he can't change what had happened, but he can definitely change what will happen.
"Don't worry Miss Yuurei, you know that briefcase I sent you, it contained the ingredients needed that will be able to revive your cat. Though in a slightly different form." he took a peek at Lazarus, sitting on the couch and channel surfing on TV. "You just need to send the briefcase back to me, along with the soul bottle and everything intact."

Yuurei took in what Dr. Kyou was saying and nodded her head. She would have to bubble wrap the soul bottle like crazy. . . . Nothing could happen to Omen. "All right, Dr. Kyou, I'll make sure that you get it safely. . . " Yuurei smiled sadly and continued, "but do you mind if I use a different delivery service?"
