Does anyone use e-books? This isn't a question about reading online. I'm talking about things like the Amazon Kindle, or the Sony reader (whatever it's called).
What do you think of them?

I think they're super cool but still there is nothing like actually holding a book in your hands as you read it.

Does the text cause any eyestrain?
I've also read in an article that they're not as good as having the books, because to share it, you have to share the whole unit, not just one title. In fact, the article said, you're renting the books, because you can't give them to someone else, or transfer ownership in any way.

After hearing about these drawbacks... I'd still prefer a real book I guess.

As cool as the E-readers may be, in my opinion they'll always be second best to a real book. It's actually kind of frightening to see how technology is taking over everything...Amazing, yes. But frightening.

Who was it that predicted that we wouldn't use paper, because everything would be digital someday? It's sort of becoming a reality, slowly but surely. D:
Hm... I had to use an electronic book for my last project, and it was frustrating because I couldn't print it out for a source. I had to explain to my teacher about copyright issues, and whatnot.

Yikes! I hadn't even thought about how one would cite a scholarly work in electronic format. I know citing web pages is a pain, but I wouldn't even know how to cite an e-book.
