Maybe each one should give a digimon a special skill?

Hmmm...they could give Digimon special abilities or powers, depending on their type and side(good, evil, neutral). Also depending on the crest type itself. They could also be used only if the Digimon has a partner.
Maybe the pre-mades can be used in roleplay to have the Digimon digivolve, if they already digivolve to certain levels, like Champion, or Ultimate. Maybe even Armor.
If you want, I can try to think up ideas of what the individual crests themselves can do. ^^

Vaccine- Heals a Digimon; side: neutral(Note: cannot heal X-virus)
Sincerity- Helps a Digimon digivolve to an Armor Digimon of Sincerity, can also help plant attacks; side: good
Reliability- Helps a Digimon digivolve to an Armor Digimon of Reliability, can also help water attacks; side: good
Prosperity- Allows a Digimon to multiply; side: neutral
Luck- Allows a Digimon to block or dodge more attacks; side: neutral
Love- Allows a Digimon more defense if defending another Digimon, also helps wind attacks, and can help digivolve to an Armor Digimon of Love; side: good
Longevity- Allows a Digimon to fight longer than most(but it will not heal the Digimon. Once the crest is out of use, the Digimon may collapse or become a Digi-tama); side: neutral
Light- Allows a Digimon to digivolve to an Armor Digimon of Light, can only be used by a good Digimon, can strengthen light powers; side: good
Virus- Can only be used by an evil Digimon, can help digivolve to a Virus Digimon, can strengthen dark powers; side: evil
Hope- Can help a Digimon digivolve to an Armor Digimon of Hope, strengthen light attacks; side: good
Friendship- Strengthens electric and ice attacks, can help a Digimon digivolve to an Armor Digimon of Friendship; side: good
Demon- Strengthens dark powers more than Virus, can grant demon wings and/or horns temporarily; side: evil(warning: may drive Digimon insane, alter Digivolution lines, or permanently mutate the Digimon slighlty.)
Darkness- Can create a shroud of darkness around the area; side: evil
Courage- Strengthens fire attacks, can help a Digimon digivolve to an Armor Digimon of Courage; side: good
Chibi- Shrinks a Digimon, making them cute in the process; side: neutral(warning: may cause them to be shrunken forever, or revert to In-Traning form when using this crest)
Anger- Activated when a Digimon is angry, causes them to go in a boar-like rage, strengthens any hand-to-hand combat attacks; side: neutral
Angel- Activated by a good Digimon, can give a Digimon temporary angel wings that illuminate almost-blinding light; side: good(Warning: may alter Digivolution line)
Oblivion- Can cause an enemy Digimon amnesia of attacks, or if the user Digimon is powerful enough, the enemy may lose memory of what it is doing at all; side: neutral
Shadow- Allows the user Digimon to become a shadow-like entity, or become one with shadows; side: neutral(Warning: May make the Digimon a permanent shadow-like entity, like a Heartless)
Scarab- A rare crest than can cause the rebirth of a Digimon that had become a Digi-tama in battle; side: neutral

OOO those are some awesome ideas.
I think we will make them mostly RP-sensitive. Some crest could cause changes in a digimon... if it digivolves again. But mostly they will be RP linked.
The Vaccine/Virus/Data ones are used for those types of digimon (im thinking.) Since all digimon are Vaccine/Virus/ or Data.
I think they may give a small power boost when facing an opposing type. Think Paper rock scissors. They will also, if you want, allow a digimon's next form to have the colors asscociated with the crest.
Example of this...
Demi-Devimon is a Virus Digimon. If it was given a Data Crest, the Rookie stage would be weak as hell considering it's an opposing type. but when it digivolves to Devimon, the devimon could would have Whites, and oranges incorperated into them... but maybe it will do something else in this instance wink

Evil: Virus
Neutral: Data
Good: Vaccine.
But I think the Angel, Demon, and Darkness crests should be alignment-based. 3nodding
I think for the Digimental Crests, if a Digimon that isn't the type it normally boosts, like if a Gabumon has a Crest of Love, if the owner purchases a growth ticket to Garurumon, a dice could be rolled to determine if there would be new colors based on a bird-type, or when it digivolves and de-digivolves there could be a mutation, like feathers? 25% chance, though.
How much would the Crests cost?
