Broken Hearted Hiei
I'm an OSA (old school anime) fan as well, mostly for SM, YYH, and Cowboy Bebop.

Cowboy Bebop is one of the best animes I've ever watched out there. May not be in my top ten favorites but i can asure you that it's #11 XD

I prefer old school anime over newer series as well, though there are a few good newer series that beat out older ones on my top ten list (Fullmetal Alchemist, anyone?).

I count Sailor Moon, YYH (duh), and Cowboy Bebop among my favorites as well. I also love Saint Seiya, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Escaflowne, and Fushigi Yuugi. 3nodding (Well, that covers eight of my top ten anime in no particular order...)

FMA is my 2'd favorite to YYH. and Fushigi Yugi is a classic for me. I love it!

How many times have I watched the series as a whole? Heh, perhaps twice. Ive seen certain episodes a great number of times and have watched the movie over and over *Adores Kuronue*.

For me old school and classic anime is stuff like Astro Boy, and Speed Racer... the original Gundam, stuff like that. I wouldn't really consider Cowboy Bebob of FMA to be Old School or even classics just yet... However there is no doubt in my mind that those two will become classics in their own right...

Yeah, FMA and Bebop aren't old school in my book either (Bebop's about halfway there, though). In fact, the only things on my top ten that currently fit my definition of old school ("an anime/manga series or movie that is more than 20 years old") are Saint Seiya, Castle in the Sky, and Nausicaa.

The term is rather useful in frightening off those who see no point in watching series made before 2000, though... lol

I know, I actually misread someone's post sweatdrop I thought they had said that FMA was old school and I was trying to tell them it wasn't.

There are some episodes I've only seen once, mostly those in the Three Kings Saga when it came on at 2am, and then there are some that I've seen at least a dozen times, mostly my favorites like the one where Hiei fights Kuromomutaro(sp?) and the taboo episode.
When I was around twelve, Toonami was airing YYH for I think the first time (back in the 3:00pm or 3:30pm timeslot), and I bought a bunch of VHS tapes (no DVDs or DVR back then... sweatdrop ) and taped the episodes from the first ones to the beginning of Chapter Black. (At that point, DVDs were very popular so I just bought the rest.) I often put on the tapes when there's nothing on tv, even though a lot of them are glitchy from being so old and used so much. blaugh Good times.
I've seen the first movie at least five or six times, the first three times in one weekend. (Me and my best friend thought it was so hilarious we just kept watching it over and over. xd ) and I've seen all of the YYH: Abridged episodes at least three times, a few of them at least six, and the movie around seven or eight.

Yeah, I think I'm pretty well obsessed... biggrin As for old school anime, it's my favorite, and most of it aired right around the time when I first got into anime. I love Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Nausica, Castle in the Sky, Totoro, Case Closed/Detective Conan, Lupin the Third, and shows like that. I can't really think of any anime that I would consider new that I like besides Death Note. I might be crazy, but I don't like FMA, Naruto, Bleach...or pretty much anything recently aired. ^^'
