Something tells me it's not FF. Look up some old PS1 RPGs like Alundra and Vandal Hearts. It may date as far back as Fire Emblem or Shining Force though, so good luck finding it.

This is FF music. Some of the songs I recognize are ripped from other FF games and mixed into one. It might not be "distorted", but rather pieced together.

For example: One of the songs is from an old Final Fantasy in which you enter a cave, but forgot what part it was...If you listen closely, you can hear the 3-beat steps that Mr. Nobuo uses for his FF songs. He wouldn't do something like this though...
