Hrothgar leered in irritation at the elf's sudden accusations. "I care about what's important. I certainly don't give a rats a** about a do nothing skirt who just happens to wear a crown to think she's important. The last princess did jack s**t for the earth nation. Guess what this one's doing? That's right, JACK s**t! We're into disaster and cession of most of earth nation's territory, and the people at the refuge are singing the praises of a no-name brat from capital city I don't give a ******** about. Any rallying speaches from the top? No, of course not. And why would there be? They don't care." Shaking his head, Hrothgar started to seethe through his teeth, "Oh and while we're at it, how about we use our heads here. If fire really is targeting water or any nation for that matter, the best time to do it is now before a new king is crowned. That way they don't have some pompous a** with a shiny trinket on his head ordering them around all day. Think I don't care about the royal hierarchy? Newsflash, NOBODY DOES!"

Mayura couldn't help but reel at Hrothgar's biting comments. He seemed more like an angry ape ranting off rather than supplying reasonable arguments, but that didn't make him any less intimidating when he was yelling "Now look, not everybody is a disillusioned, anti-patriotic p***k like you. With the support of the people, the king can do something, Princess Stel can do something. Do you believe she wanted to be an exile for that long?"
Having recovered, Ciel backed away from Mayura to avoid being indirectly involved in their argument. The recent political effects had gone pretty far above her head to the point where she really had no idea what they were talking about. Rather than get involved, she elected to remain quiet and out of the direct lines of shouting.

Hrothgar didn't raise his voice this time. Instead he leaned in over Mayura. "Oh boo, hoo. Another dime a dozen exiled royal sob story. If they're exiled then nobody's going to follow them, if they couldn't fight exile then it's because they were too weak, and naturally if they walk out of the woodwork and do ******** NOTHING, then no one will support them. On the frontier, respect is earned, not demanded. Ol' princess Stel, had her opportunity to earn it over a century ago. She failed. End of story. You don't get a free pass because mommy and daddy were big wigs down at the castle." He pointed straight out to his side as he continued, "You want to continue to support a witless do-nothing crone fine, but you can just get the hell out right now if all you wanna do is piss and moan at us because we have the determination to follow other plans."

Mayura turned away immediately in frustration, "Understood." She started to take some steps to walk away but glanced toward Ciel first, asking quietly, "And what say you? Do you share the desire to undertake a haphazard mission of vengeance over seeking out those who may have a solution to the problems of the earth nation?"
Ciel thought for a moment. Either way she wouldn't be alone for once, but her bitter feelings for the one who attempted to kill her, as well as the unpleasant feeling she had the instant she set foot on castle grounds were all she needed to think about to make up her mind. She quickly shook her head, "I'm sorry. I... I don't want to go back to the castle. It's a place of nothing but bad feelings."
Mayura took a deep breath and nodded silently to Ciel. She continued her exile march silently away from the group. The giant might have been an a**, but he was right to freely give the option for one to vote with their feet, as Mayura was doing at the moment.

After all was said and done, Kujaku couldn't help but shrug and scratch his head at the whole thing. "Why she mad at you?", he asked Hrothgar in confusion, " It my plan." Having made a short turn, Kujaku started walking down the street path to the south. He didn't mind leaving the style-cramping elf behind. People saw him and really the rest of his current group as monsters anyway. Going to a coronation would more be an invitation to trouble than anything else for him. "Come, we get ship in Pellions Bay.", he said calmly as he approached the edge of the market area. Eventually he left the sea of kiosks and shops behind.

"I know, right?" Hrothgar said quietly to Kujaku after he asked about the elf's misdirected anger. Now that they were instead making a detour according to Kujaku's plan, Hrothgar took a step to follow him but interrupted himself to remember Ciel. With a brief shrug, he turned around and picked her up before he gave himself a short burst to catch up to Kujaku and follow him toward the end of town. Obsidion plodded silently after to bring up the back of the group, only speeding up in step to catch up as Hrothgar did just before.

Ciel squirmed uncomfortably as she found herself picked up and carried off like a ragdoll. At first, she felt like with her hidden reserves of strength she could likely break free of his grasp, but then she quickly realized would be back to running just to keep up. It was an uncomfortable ride, but it got her off her feet and traveling at the moment. In the end, Ciel just held on and waited quietly.
After one final glance back over the heads of the rebuilding crowd toward the traveling giant and ogre, Mayura shook her head in disappointment before taking a turn through the streets to return to the earth tower.

Menos entered the merchant quarter with a few tentative steps. It was a fairly large area, a labrynth of shops from buildings to kiosks, and a seemingly endless supply of just about anything. Even if Vasyly was in the area it was difficult to speculate on what he might be out for, perhaps a new instrument, trendy new threads, or a quick meal. It could have been anything, which there certainly was out in the market place. "At least sign posts are immobile," Menos muttered remembering what he did and where he went the last time he was in the marketplace. As he started his walk through the merchant quarter, he was looking about from each side.

Cyra looked around unhappily. "I don't think he's here. But where else would he be?"

"Well..." Menos thought for a second as he scratched his nose, "I suppose he might have sought out a concentrated water source, maybe the canals or the seaside?" He pointed vaguely in the direction of the docks and shrugged, "The pier gets sort of grimy with all the fishing, dumping, and spitting sailors but the but the remaining coastline is pristine to you two isn't it?"

She wrinkled her nose a bit. "Personally I would rather be trapped in the water tower than in any coast near this city. Though we're safe in our own territories, there are still those who like to hunt us for our "unique" properties when ingested and other such things."

Though he was fairly lost on the vague description, Menos at least got the hint that Sirens and fishermen had a mutual quarrel. Giving little more than a brief shrug, he took it as a suggestion. "Well, I suppose we should check the tower then." After a brief beckoning gesture, Menos took a turn to a major street to travel back to the castle grounds.

Cyra quickly turned and followed, glad to go back to the cool of the tower.
