((Apologies for the length. Just trying to 'introduce' my character. Future posts will be shorter.))
Granis walked into one of the taverns of Fire, his eye slowly sweeping the room and the people in it. He always spent his time on his toes unless he knew the area was confirmed to be clear... which, after finishing his sweep, he did. But not entirely. He walked up to the bar and took a seat on one of the various stools, his shield arm dangling as his right rested on the bar top. As the bartender passed him, Granis gave his order. "Pint of mead." He said, staring at his forearm.
These were turbulent times now... he had been hearing people in the streets whispering of war, expressing their animosities, and otherwise not being overly jovial. What could this portend? Would actual war break out.... again? His thoughts were interrupted as a pint of drink slid down the bar, Granis catching the handle just barely. This bar-keep was... skilled. And quick. He would have to leave a tip.
His thought resumed as he sipped his mead. Was war really so close? Seemed like. Though, it did not overly concern him so much. Times of violence meant good business for him, for many seemed to be on the lookout for a sword-for-hire. That was not to say he was not making his quota... work was good as it was. Merchents ever needed bodyguards for their wares and someone was always on the search for this item or that. But war... war makes people paranoid, more maleable. They think they need more protection, more weapons or trinkets to make them safe. Which meant more gold to line his pockets.

((We don't penalize for post length. If it's what you want to do, go nuts.))
Kel entered the tavern, allowing the door to close behind him before he moved away from it. After a quick stroll to the bar he took a seat on a stool, turning around in it and reclining, leaning his elbows against the table. He looked up at the ceiling briefly then down at his legs. I don't think I ever took the kids to Flamma city. Though I suppose it isn't exactly a tourist spot. he thought, briefly glancing out the window to the rustic city scenery beyond.

((Well, alright then. Thanks.))
Granis turned his head slightly to look at the newcomer as he continued to sip his mead. He did not order anything... strange, for one to enter a tavern without food or drink in mind. Granis resumed his blank stare into his drink. From what he could gather, the man looked... weathered. He looked like he had been around the block a few times. Though, it was not his concern. Granis took a gulp of his beverage before setting it down on the bar top, thinking on where he could find his next contractor.

Orin stepped into the tavern, and nooded to the bartender, who handed him an small package and he walked to a shaded table in the corner by himself. He opened the package, and inside was a wad of raw meat, witch he took a bite fom the hunk of meat, swllowed, and pulled out a small bag of salt. He sprinkled some salt on the meat and took another large bite.

Granis turned his head slightly to observe the newcomer, if briefly, picking up his pint in the process. He looked familiar... not as in he had seen him before, but from description and chatter he had picked up here and there. Turning his head back to normal, Granis dropped the train of thought almost as soon as he had picked it up, knocking back the rest of his mead. He reached into his pocket and fished out a few coins, placing them on the bartop before he turned and walked, pushing open and closing the door as he left. The newcommer was.... unsettling. Something not quite right about him.
After pausing a few moments to ponder his next move, Granis simply began to walk, deciding to roam the streets of Flamma City. Perhaps he would hear of something interesting among the folk.

Kel looked up as a gentleman passed him on the way out. He didn't look like the military troops in uniform that were here and there in the tavern. he also didn't look like the civilian type either. He sighed and looked down at the floor again. "Man, I certainly hope my kids don't take the mercenary run. It's a lot less fun than you'd think." he muttered. He looked up and over at the person who seemed to have some signal system with the bartender and was now off in the corner. Kel blinked twice in some surprise and shrugged at what he saw. He decided to remain a bit longer before he'd head back.

Sliding off the stool, Kel stood up and placed his hands in his pockets. "Well, I probably better check on the kids.", he mumbled. He took one quick look around the tavern to take in the atmosphere then left just as quietly as he had entered minutes ago.

Bloom walked into the tavern and sat at an empty table. Kasai hummed in her ear, indicating that she was hungry. 'She may be a dwarf dragon, but she sure has an appetite...' Bloom thought to herself. She quickly ordered some meat for the tiny dragon. Kasai purred happly when she was given some strips of dried meat. Bloom put half of the meat into her bag for later, she just wanted to get out of there. 'I hate crouds...' she thought, 'You never know who is lurking in the shadows.'

Bloom couldnt take it anymore. She had to get out of there. Quickly, she paid her bill and with some protest from Kasai, rushed out of the tavern.

Shuyin walked into the Tavern and glanced around. With an emotionless expression behind his mask he walked over to an empty table and sat down. Taking a seat, he took a deep breath and sighed. "Wonder whats going to happen now..." he muttered.

Shuyin yawned and then stood up. "Well I guess I've been here long enough." With that he set a few coins on the table and started making his way towards the door. Giving it a hard tug it opened and he stepped out side to continue his quest. (Exit Tavern)
