I got off work early today and it was really nice out so I figured I'd walk over to a friends house I haven't seen in awhile. While I'm there she suddenly asks me, "How well do you know me?" I've known her since we were 4 so I told her I think I know her pretty well by now. She goes to her room to get something.
When she comes back she's carrying a letter her boyfriend wrote her last night after a fight. Basically he's expalining two things she does that really get to him. One was that she can be pretty undependable. She's always late (sometimes excessivly) and will forget or back out of plans with little warning even if someones counting on her. The other was that when he does something wrong and she gets mad she stays mad till he apologizes, but if she does something wrong she gets mad at the person who's mad at her and tries to shift the blame onto her accuser.
When I starting reading the letter I figured the conversation was going to go the way of some boyfriend bashing. When I finished I tried so hard not to laugh as I looked her in the face and said, "He's got you pegged. You suck." Took me a bit to point out my own numerous examples of her ticking me off in the same way ad get her to look past her own point of view to how he sees this. So now she's determined to work on the first one, but even she doesn't know how she'll do on the second. One second she'd admit she'd do that, then she'd try to foist the blame right then and there, only to have me point out that she was doing exactly what she'd been accused of doing about being accused of doing it. sweatdrop

Oh my brain...
Well we're all human and therefore flawed, so working those flaws out can be tough as anything sometimes. I'm still trying to get rid of some bad habits.

Man that wasn't an easy paragraph to read.
Still interesting, though. ninja

You think that's bad you should try reading one of my handwritten letters. I intentionally ignore all use of paragraphs and don't pay very much attention to punctuation. My letters are just one big flow of transitional thoughts. twisted

I'm like that sometimes. But I've been trying to get better too...
