When I was younger, I had like five baby teeth pulled. They were almost loose anyway, so they came out really easily. I've also had four molars pulled, those still had roots attached and everything. That was worse, but it still wasn't that bad.

It was kind of scary just not knowing what to expect, and friend of mine had told me that you could hear the teeth crunching while they get pulled which I thought was really creepy. So I brought my CD player and turned that up loud while the dentist pulled them.

First, he (or she xp ) will probably put some stuff around your gums to numb them a bit (like with a little brush) and then he'll probably give you a novacaine shot. I thought that was what hurt the most, that shot. After that you don't feel any pain at all, you can feel that he's pulling, but it doesn't hurt. And then your mouth is all numb for a while and you feel all drooly and weird xp But when the novacaine starts wearing off, it gets sore... At that point I took a painkiller and then within ten minutes I was jumping on the trampoline, and my mom was yelling at me about how I had to stop in case I swallowed the cotton balls xd

The dentist put a Q-tip in my mouth and put the anesthetic on my gums. It was pina colada flavored! =D
But they didn't give me the novacaine shot, but I didn't need it.
Then the dentist just looked at my mouth before leaving for a few minutes. I was anxious, but the assistant was really nice! =D
Then the dentist came back and pulled it. I felt exactly what they described to me; about as much pressure as someone pushing you. Then they stuck gauze in my mouth. Then my mom and I stopped off at the grocery store and got gauze and stuff I can actually eat. I can't spit or do exercise for a while, but that's alright. Then I came home!

I have braces, and i recenlty (3 days ago) got bracets on my molars.

and am right now cursing at the dentist gods. WHY DOES MY MOTHER HAVE TO BE A DENTIST, WHHHYYYYYYYYY?!

anyways, at six am, my grandpa took my to the orthodontist (Not my mom.) and i was all ' oh, it's just gonna be like when they take my wire out.' I WAS IN THERE FOR TWO HOURS. gonk they put the icky tasting stuff on my teeth so the bracets would stick, and it got on my tounge. so when i was done i went to the bathroom and gargled and ####.

three days later, and the end of the wire is still picking at my skin, and i wish my mom didn't lose my iPod so i could drown it out.


then again, i do have a small mouth.
