Ok I know how to type in kana: イカスシナスコシ but how do I type in hiragana and kanji. Also what is the layout for the keyboard when you're using the japanese kana format.
キクラカキ キテクニキラセ シニキラハマクイカラスン イカスキクニ カスカセ ニハマキ ハキ: Just random typing that doesn't traslate to anything(I think ^_^')

Go to Control Panel, then click on "Change keyboards or other input methods" under "Clock, Language and Region." When the new window pops up, click on "Change Keyboards." From here, you'll be able to click on a button that says "Add," where you can choose which language keyboard you want to use. Click on Japanese, then keyboard, then Microsoft IME. Click "Okay," then "Apply" on the former window. Now, there will be a little button near the tray in the corner of your screen that says EN. If you click on that, you can change it to "JP Japanese (Japan)." When it changes to that, click on the "A" and change it "Hiragana." Now when you type, it'll be in hiragana (unless you press shift and start typing). To change the hiragana to the kanji equivalents, press spacebar. Sometimes you'll have to do this a few times in order to find the right kanji.
