So I've finally decided to enter an art contest, and I just finished one of the most grueling sketches I've ever done.

She's a sort-of fallen angel dark-elf type.

This is one of my best sketches, and I'm actually quite satisfied with it overall. I had to look at tons of references to get the anatomy right, and it looks okay to me.

Anything I should add/change before inking?

PS - Ignore the hand on the right, I haven't bothered to fix it yet.

hmm i don't know what you plan to do with teh rest of her costume, but her earrings are distracting at the moment. .. There are too many it seems and inking it might make it look crowded and junkie..? mayeb a bit more creativity with the sword and hand area would make the sketch shine. i like the pose though. are you giong to intentionally keep her face hidden with all that hair?

Well I can't do much about the earings or daggers, since they're supposed to be like that according to the description of the original character. I will put a bit more detail in once I CG it, though.

I'm still trying to decide what to do with her hair. I like it how it is, but in the description it says she has gold eyes, so I should probably incorporate that into the picture. Humm.

Take a few minutes to fix her feet before you go any farther. The way she's standing is ridiculous. It looks like you used a Barbie for foot reference. :[

I think you need to work on the lower half. The legs seem bit plain to go with the top half, and as Icono said, the feet are barbie feet :0

I am not a fan of elves, or angels, but I do like the look of the face and hair. Very nice. Actually, I like almost the whole picture. Aside the elf-angle-leg issue.

Thanks. This is actually my first elf/angel/thing, and I'm only drawing it because it's in the contest specifications. ninja

I actually liked her feet... bah. It's all coloured now and everything so it'll be a lot of work to change it to a different pose... ah well. If it looks dumb then I guess I should.

A few notes.

- The colours were chosen by the contest owner, so don't blame me if they look lame.
- I like how the wing looks (as of now, I'm going to clean it up a bit tomorrow), but if it's just me... tell me. Nicely. sad
- I'm doing the shirt and earings last because:
-- The shirt is supposed to be chainmail, so I have to manually put in each chain (any tips on how to do chainmail??) then erase the lines of her shirt that you see now.
-- The earings looked like crap outlined, so I'm going to put them in without lines.
