I made a friend at work who would talk to me about video games. Eventually, I brought up FFVII and how my copy has been busted for a while (the install disk won't read properly). He meantioned how he had a copy lying around somewhere, and that he'd sell it to me... for $10. Anybody who's tried to get a copy resently knows he's giving me a huge deal.

I paid him the money, and brought the game over to my boyfriend's house. He has a little brother, named Dustin, who I've pretty much watched grow up. My boyfriend and I started dating six years ago, when he was only eight. Now he's fourteen, which is the age I first played FFVII with my boyfriend.

Then it hit me. Dustin has played Kingdom Hearts I+II, so he's aware of the characters for the most part. We put the game in and told him to play. He seems to be liking it so far, but he's a little nervous about missing anything, so he wants our help. I've put my boyfriend on official 'make sure he plays' watch. XP

He named the characters (because it's fun!). Cloud is Dustin, Barret is Stephen (a tradition that's begun, since when Stephen first played he named Barret after the guy who was teaching him how to play the game). He stopped right before going into Tifa's bar. So, before I left, I gave him a little "Name Aeris after me. Name the other girl after a girl you like or something."

Anyways, even though I'm sure he got the hint, I am hoping that when he's done the game I can ask him what he thinks and he'll have figured it out.

So, my fellow guild members, are you going to pass it down, or have you already? To a family member, a friend...? I feel good knowing I have passed it down to Dustin, because my own sibling has forsaken her gaming ways for drinking, and uh, drinking. XP

If I have kids, I'm definitely passing it down to them even if they protest about the polygon graphics. xd My siblings and I have already absorbed the game. I tried to get my friend to play it (she let her brother play it for her) and he died after the first boss so he gave up. xd *Coughs*

I really don't think I have anyone I could pass it down to unless you talk about the future. (Lol, a gamer mom. xd )

I forced the game on a friend of mine, and press-ganged another into finally playing the PS1 FFs, which she had somehow completely missed, despite playing the SNES games, and purchasing 10 and 10-2.

Both of them are fully aware of the inanity of the LTD, as I occasionally bring up some of the sillier arguments I have seen for a chuckle.

..........Forcing someone and press-ganging another....wow, you're such a great friend. xd

Good friends don't let friends miss out on playing FFVII. XD
