Orb Journal 5/6
The ball was amazing, it glided around and over her hands as if it was magic. She knew this ball felt right. It was the perfect weight and size and she had no fear of dropping it. The old lady smiled when she was what ball was chosen and nodded to herself. Elvy smiled and held the ball with one hand. “This one, I don’t know what it is, but I must buy it.” The two talked prices and came to an agreement. After Elvy paid her the lady stopped her and handed a note to her. “Read this later when no one is around, they are… instructions.” Elvy smiled and thanked the lady again. The rest of the fair she rolled the ball around her hands and fingers… One of her friends asked her what she bought when they found her later. “It’s a crystal. Nothing more,” she replied happily. Unknown to her right now, when she would next return to the fair, the cloaked old lady and her booth would no longer be there.
