This event looked like fun....So I had to take some pictures! (most behind cuts to help load times)

I bumped into this internet celebrity at Nagano Station, in Nagano, Japan!

Another view of the station.

On the way to the famous Zenkoji Temple.

First Gate to the Temple.

And here we are at the Main Temple!

And here we are looking at a map of Zenkoji.

And finally, here is a view of Nagano City. (From behind Zenkoji.)

Don't mind my oddly small hands, but Halifax goes to Canada!

Specifically Rockwood Park in Saint John, New Brunswick. I used to practically live there every summer for 15 or so years. We came overseas to visit family every vacation, I can remember that every day I asked to go swim up at Lily Lake.

Armed only with a camera phone, an MP3 player, and a bottle of water, we met the local wildlife. (No pidge or snakes were harmed in the making of this photo journal.) And then we went to my favourite little isolated spot, the Lookout. Then we hung out for a bit there.

We saw the Lily Lake Pavilion (They call it the "Hatheway" Pavilion now, but I remember it as that weird, broken down old changing room where I got attacked by a giant spider one summer vacation. They closed it down for years, but now there's a restaurant in it. They used to just sell ice lollies out of two windows in the front. Went in for a drink, pointed out the exact spot where I accidentally went in my bathing suit one year. God, I feel old.) Slightly bigger picture/different angle of the same.

THE MAJESTIC ATLANTIC. Or... just the Bay of Fundy, past the industrial park.

Halifax's tour of CoMo (more lengthily known as Columbia, Missouri)!

What a hot day. Halifax stopped by a local lake, hoping to see his geese cousins that live in the area, but to no avail. Looked to be a good place to take a (lucky?) dip, though...

After a bite to eat (man, a Blizzard would have been nice in this heat...), Halifax headed off to an important central part of the city, the University of Missouri (MIZ-ZOU!). Despite it being the home of the Tigers, he braved it anyway (don't tell him the rivals are birds...although Jayhawks aren't real anyway. XD).

First a semi-distant shot of Mizzou Arena, (where Tiger Basketball is played), then a short hop down the hill to Faurot Field, where more importantly Tiger Football is played. Halifax was intrigued by the sign out front of the stadium, but confused, as Zoo seemed to be misspelled. And where were all the animals, anyway? Oh well, those humans are hard to understand sometimes, eh?

I don't have time to give these nice descriptions, but here they finally are: Halifax's Trip to San Diego, California.

A unique sunset over the water
Though with my crappy phone camera you can't see much of Halifax himself :c

Chatting with the locals
Well, I don't know if he speaks gull, but they seemed to get along pretty well.

Halifax posing with the Legoland sign

Jammin' with the rock band!
Oddly enough, one of the first cool things we encountered was this rock band; from hidden speakers played songs such as "We Will Rock You"

This bird was very peculiar, and quiet...Not to mention large!
Halifax posing with a Lego penguin.

Princess Mononoke?
Halifax riding a Lego wolf! My aunt suggested I put him in it's mouth, but I didn't think Halifax would like that very much...

and finally
Nom nom nom
We stopped at In-And-Out Burger for lunch : )
