Talking to someone about it might help. Try setting up an appointment with your school counsellor, or asking your parents to take you to see a psychologist/therapist/counsellor. Or you can go yourself if you don't want them to know.

It's normal to be down and feeling depressed after you've broken up with someone (or been the one who got broken up with), but it's not a good thing if you're hurting yourself and taking it out on yourself.

If she's having issues with her dad, and she thought there were problems within your relationship, it might've all been too much to handle right now. She may just need some space. If you can, try to be supportive if she talks to you about her dad. Or maybe just take a break from talking to her if speaking with her is too much to handle for you right now.

My very first boyfriend broke up with me after over two years of dating. At the time we broke up, we were both being passive-aggressive with each other, and he was depressed to the point of being suicidal. Although I didn't know it at the time, our relationship problems were contributing to his depression and making the situation worse. I was really upset at the time that we broke up, but in time he got better, which was the most important thing. We are casual friends now smile and that's enough.
