confused I was wondering. Just why do we love Kurama and Hiei together? I know why i like it.
whee both are sexy powerful demons and i love yaoi and not to mention the pun that Hiei said nearing the end of the anime to Kurama. and the fact that they get along so well. blaugh

Well personally I love them due to how well they complete one another.
They just balance out so well, and to think I used to hate the couple...
You see I actually sat through and listened to the argument for the pairing and they where right. Yes they aren't an actual pairing, but if you actually looked you could see the "unspoken" love.
The looks, the concern, the fact they always show up together making you wonder what they where doing before hand...
Anyway, I love them because it seems like the perfect couple to me.
Now let's weigh that against what the Anti-Yaoi fans have:
1) Mukuro and Maya- Hiei and Kurama don't love them, it is that simple. Mukuro really seems more like a mother to Hiei then anything and Maya wasn't in the anime, she just was yet another one of the girls who fell for Kurama that he would never love.
2) The "joke" near the end- I guess they never heard of people wanting to hide their feelings by joking about it huh? Or they never heard of people not admitting love to protect the other person.
3) Fan girls/boys - Okay is this even a reason... simply put some fans are rabid...
Anyway I think that sums everything up, now time to go make more banners now that I found the pictures I wanted.

Hmmm...I would have to say..because I believe it started out as them both wanting some sort of companionship? I mean, both were 'trapped' in a world of humans, and I'm sure at least Kurama was getting tired of not be able to be himself around anyone. They also make a perfect fighting duo. Very much in sync.
The Mukuro/Hiei thing kind of annoys me..I can see why, but I feel that Kurama/Hiei has more trust, since I'm pretty sure neither of them just took information from each other's minds. And Maya?..That whole part there just shows you that even though Kurama would care, he could never involve himself with a human like that..at least one that couldn't defend themself against his enemies..(I think he has enough problems just protecting his mother and step family)
I'm not sure if I can call their relationship "loving"..of course I can't really say when it could've started up. I'd like to say it'd been there for a while, but Kurama was also Hiei's parole officer..so them being with each other a lot doesn't seem too strange. But with Hiei's stunt at Mukuro's? I think it happened after that when they were at the last tourney.
Ok, I got a bit sidetracked...but you can see my reasons in there ^o^

Personally I think that the "love" developed in the dark tournament arc. I mean we where shown the friendship sort of with the four saint beasts and the three treasures but in the dark tournament it seemed like something just elevated. Hiei seemed more concerned for Kurama at that time compared to the previous fights.
I can't pin point a battle but I am certain it would have started there.
Then i think the next story arc was the newly dating phase. I mean i know Kurama likes to tease Hiei but after getting his soul stolen by Kaito Hiei really didn't fight back much at Kurama's teasing as he does prior in the series.
And the last story arc broke them apart a bit seeing as how they became enemies due to their demon lords. I also like how in one episode Mukuro asks Hiei if he would be okay fighting anyone and the camera panned to Kurama.
At the end i got a sense of things weren't as they where before and trusts have to be rebuilt between the two but it would be alright for them.
And now anyone can steal this and make the fanfic for it... or i will...

I used to hate the pairing too XD.
How wrong I said to myself. But they are so good for each other! It is indescribable. I was so wrong. Their love is like.........hie and kurama are like........
They are ham and mayo. .Milk and cereal. Fudge and icecream. dressing and salad. They go together and make each other better.
