"I know what'cher thinkin'~ Hey, scottie! What's it gonna be? Why, gin and tonic sounds mighty, mighty good to me~" Iamel sang as he tugged his toddler daughter down the aisle of the large arts and crafts store. Dressed in the usual baggy, black capri pants and a fitted, rude t-shirt (Ronald McDonald in a speedo with the title 'natural redhead' in flowery script), he looked at odds with the little girl in her soft blue sundress and ballet flats.
Akuti often dressed her in the mornings when she saw what Iamel shoved the girl.
"Yewanme anbottle makes free t'night." Dee chimed in, her rare voice light and lisping. Having those teeth made it hella hard for the poor kid to talk but she was learning at a startling rapid rate. Iamel chalked it up to her dance classes. Little thing was a natural when it came to dancing, being skinny and fast on her feet. He was almost proud.
The fact that he was dating her teacher didn't hurt his fondness for the class anyway.
"Good girl. So we getting glitter?"
Dee hesitated, large eyes peering around the store. She rather enjoyed being sparkly and making herself pretty. The disgusting, horrid body she was in had to have some attractiveness, after all.
"Mar'ers."
"Markers it is. C'mon, spawnling."

Markers were next to paint and paint was next to Aishe and Aishe was next to Themis and Themis was flapping her wings hard, knocking s**t off the shelves and generally giving her auntie hell. The angry, freshly landed criminal was throwing everything she could get her hands on from the prison of the kiddie seat in Aishe's shopping cart.
Theron and Cade had crashlanded but a few days ago, and not only were they separated, but they were babies. Her visor flashed in the florescant light as she scowled at Aishe when the woman grew near. A particularly well placed shot resulted in the short gypsy recieving a tube of paint in the ********! G'dammit, y'little alien!" Aishe had no problem watching the kids that entered Jaelle's life, but seriously? She already had bandaids all over her fingers from those metal things on the blue baby's back!
Themis showed no remorse.

Iamel paused when he heard the racket; what was it with these angry little brats running around? Sure. Kian had screamed like a banshee when he had arrived and Akilah had never SHUT UP - ugh, let alone Kat... But Dee was a little angel. Well, as long as she was fed and all that good crap.
"Alien?" Ah ha! No wonder the little brat was so angry. Dees cut ears flicked a bit at the word. She knew what it meant - she was an alien. That's what the pierced, dark one always said when he talked about her - or about Kian.
"Aleen." She echoed briefly and fell silent. Instead of letting herself be tugged along this next time, the bald girl tugged her new father towards the throwing winged one.
Iamel almost got beaned with a bag of paintbrushes. ******** think they should make alien-proof cages. I think they're selling rope in aisle 12, though."

Unlike with Nicolae, Aishe couldn't grab Themis by the collar of her shirt and hoist her around. She'd tried, but the babe had simply sliced up her hand with those fast-beating wings. Hearing Iamel's comment, She grinned, fingers flicking dark curls from teal eyes, and nodded, shooting the baby a fierce look.
"Yea, I could use some rope. No need for a gag, though, she's a quiet one."
Luckily, Themis had run out of items in the shopping cart, and now folded both pairs of arms, brows knit together over her visor, scowling. One could only assume she was glaring. If she had eyes under there, anyway.
"Crash landed in my sister's office, they did! Her and another little nutball. Of course, THAT one is all happy-go-lucky 'n s**t. WE got the angry one."
Aishe seemed to have no qualms about chatting it up with strangers. "I'm Aishe. That blue bit with wings is Themis. Or, that's what we're calling her, anyway."

"Dee here crashed into my Dads motorcycle while I was shopping. She was alone, though. Eh." He shrugged carelessly; it wasn't HIS bike. All he had needed was a ride home with the silent, terrified looking youngster. At the time, he'd felt bad for her. "This is Dee, by the way. Her REAL nickname is DDR but Dee is even shorter."
DDR squirmed from Iamels grip and brushed her dress of daintily, a true little lady. SOME people had to have class, even if the bird man wasn't one of them. Even this girl was prettier then her.
So not fair.
She was rather tall for a toddler and managed to wrap her fingers around a part of the cart to stand on her tiptoes and look at Themis. Dee frowned.
And then she waved.
"Lo, Mis."
"She's a chatty Cathy, as you can tell. If she went through a roof, I gues that means you didn't see Archie, right?"

"Dee, eh? That's nice. She an alien, too, then?" Huh. "Come with a lil' picture thing?"
Theme's eyebrow arched upwards, almost elegantly. Oh, no, she was definitely no baby. Apparently, her bad mood was lifted a little by someone treating her as if she was sentinent and not a human child. If it would have been any consolation to Dee, Themis happened to think that she'd been a lot more attractive as THERON, as well. lolbondingpoint?
Tilting her head and revealing herself to be quite intelligent, the yellow-haired babe lifted the fingers of her upper right hand briefly, in greeting. Of course, her ability to vocalize in gaia's tongue hadn't quite appeared. It wasn't hard to understand, she'd pick it up over time.... After all, there were many languages on her planet, some of which were quite similar to this.
She was still grumpy. Using her bottom two hands, she gripped the rail of the cart to lever herself into a position where she could view Dee properly. Her visor immediently started scanning. Interesting. Satisfied, she lifted her lips in the resemblance of a smile.
"What the HELL. NOW she's friendly." Aishe was disgusted. "Archie? Who's that?"

"Yep. Picture and all. She was actually really pretty. Looked human and all that jazz - dressed like a harem girl, though..." He tapered off to watch the kids. Dee didn't like socializing all too much and rarely made the initiative when it came to meeting new people.
"....huh. That's. Kind of weird. Maybe she already knows the word 'alien'? Dee does, I think."
lulzbondingpoint. Dee watched and waited to be recognized by the younger female, studied her with an intensity a toddler should never have. They were too old for their bodies and she was rather curious to see what this woman was like.
Blue. And swirly. Yellow, too. She had a lot of arms, too. Dee wanted to have a lot of arms. She imagine it would be pretty fun.
Her head tilted back to keep watching Themis. The smile was returned with those too thin, too wide lips pulling apart. While Dees teeth were pointed and sharper then any knife Iamel knew, she wasn't intending to be frightening.
"At least they're both swirly, right?"

"Yea... What's the picture for, anyway?" Aishe actually had Themis's picture with her, and pulled it out to show Iamel. As an afterthought, she jerked her chin toward Dee, in question. Should she show the little one? Knowing the male could stop he if he desired, she strode over to show the picture to the brown girl.
Themis caught sight of her own old body, and her wings began to move frantically once more. HER. THAT WAS HER. She WANTED that BACK. That scowl reappeared. Regaining her composure, the baby pointed both her right index fingers at the picture, startling the hell out of Aishe.
"... Definitely not your average baby, eh?" The gypsy moved back to the debatable safety at Iamel's side and put the picture back into her pocket. "What were ya saying about meeting this Archie fellow? He another alien or something?"

Iamel grinned at the picture, his hands going to rest on his hips in a rather jaunty fashion. Ha. Jaunty. Flaming, although he'd never admit it. Poor guy.
"She was rather hardcore." He noted, and finally the question sank in. "Hell if I know. My brother's an alien too - I think we give off pheremones to attract them or something - and he keeps his stashed away in his drawer. Gets pissed whenever someone mentions it. Dee's at home, though. She hasn't seen it since she got here."
Why bother stopping her? He didn't see the point. Dee slid from the path of the destructive wings although she twisted to peer at the picture. Ooooh.
She pointed too, although when Aishe walked away, the index finger slid up to point to Themis. Dee sighed.
"No more." The toddler agreed as she shook her head sadly. "Me too."
"Ah - Archie. Yeah, I'm pretty sure. I've only met the guy like twice? If that. But Kian - my brother, crazy alien dude - he digs him. He got 'um all rounded up about two years ago but apparently they've been falling in random places now." He shrugged once again, a signature apparently, and hunted in his pockets for a pen or paper. "They actually have this... place, I guess. S'called the Unit. I've been pimping it out. Been meeting a lot of rouge spawn, actually. It's like AA for aliens or... something. It calmed Kian down.
"You have any paper?"

It was an arts and crafts store. Aishe grinned and flipped open a sketchbook from the shelf, tearing out a page and handing it to the, quite obviously, homosexual. "Well, s**t, my sister'll appreciate that. Alien's not MY kid."
Themis's head snapped from the disappearing picture to the toddler before her rather quickly at the girl's words. Her, too? She had been something amazing once? Something brilliant? Something beautiful? Sure, she was a criminal, but she had a purpose! One that NEEDED to be carried out. ******** Cade and his delusions. Snapping out of her thoughts, she pursed her baby lips, obviously considering her options. "Dee" had freedom of movement, didn't seem upset... Perhaps she was simply working within a system?
Theron had done that once, before Cade. Maybe it was time to ditch him, and start again alone... Or maybe, not quite alone, but with a better choice of partner? She grinned, and it was adorable [but that's beside the point], and rattled the cart to get Aishe's attention.
"Dee." It was said quite firmly. She would like to continue seeing this fellow prisoner.
Aishe blinked, having no idea what the baby wanted. She couldn't have Dee, nor was Aishe called Dee. Frowning, the woman turned back to Iamel. "Hey, maybe since your kid seems into Theme, we should swap digits or something, yanno?"
That would be good enough.

"Vandalizing? My kind of woman." The paper was stolen and a marker kidnapped from the small case. Patrick scrawled the address to the unit, wrote down Kians name and then doodled a little caricature of his younger brother underneith. "Kian's short, gray and has three eyes. Can't miss him. He's usually there... ah." Grin. "Sparring with his friend. Autsu. Dunno how to spell THAT, though."
At her name, Dee smiled; it wasn't a lovely smile, or an innocent one, nor was it the crazed smile of a psychopath. The expression had no true definition, save that it was that of a grown woman, jaded, intelligent and who knew exactly how to work things.
While she'd never had a partner before, she was alone, here. Kian was one thing and Archie had given her a doll, but she was essentially alone. It would be good to have an ally, especially one that was (in Iamels terminology) 'badass' like Themis was.
Iamel actually shuddered at that smile. It was CREEPY to see the little girl show such adult emotions - creepy coming from both of the kids. Themis, though, was friggen squishable.
Under the address, he wrote his cell number and name there, along with a simple 'D'. The b ottom half was torn off and the blank part - and the marker - was offered to Aishe.
"Sure. Just write your stuff on there and we'll be good. Dee needs some friends who don't think like two year old and... ah. Who knows. It could help your swirly sprogglet with her issues."

Aishe nodded, luckily missing Dee's creepy-a** grin, and scrawled down Jaelle's name and number "That'd be my sister," her own name and number and also drew a picture just for fun. It was of a freak of a creature, with a chameleon tail, horns, wings, and chicken feet. "That'd be Zak, he came in the pod with Theme. She seems t'hate him."
As an after thought, she looked at her cellphone for a moment, searching the phonebook. "'N here's Tabitha's number, she's Zak's... Mom, I guess."
Jerking a thumb at short, blue, and angry, she grinned. "We'd better head out, but it was ********' bomb to meet you...?" He'd never quite gotten around to telling her his name.
Themis, on the other hand, had gone back to her sullen grumping, her own observations recording what looked to be a 'goodbye' sort of ceremony between the two gaians.
