My parents have been in a money rut for about a year now. For the summer last year (despite promising me, that I could do as I please) I had to babysit my little sister for free. Which is no big deal, family helps family in hard times. However, after that my mom promised promised (her words not mine :p) that i could do whatever i wanted this summer. Surprise surprise, I have to babysit again. This time, I have a choice. A.) Babysit half the summer for free B.) Babysit the WHOLE summer being payed $60 every two weeks. I don't want to choose either of these because they are both GREAT deals....and they both seems selfish. What would you do?

You still have spare time despite babysitting right? I would do it all summer for the pay. You would be surprised at how good it feels when you get your wages.

I agree with Paladin. I would do it all summer (nice wages) and plus it might look good on a job application if you happen to be searching for a new job later on razz

Hmm....never thought of it that way....about the resume. Plus i will have spare time...and i have been saving up for a new mp3 biggrin thank you! i guess that's what i'll do. my cousin pointed out that even if i took the half the summer option....i'd have no money to go newhere. XP

honestly hun even i think that family comes first. plus i like to see a nice payout and 60 every 2 weeks is better than nothing every two weeks. personally i'd take the whole summer thing. how hard is watching a kid anyway.

Depends on the kid xd QFT. I hate kids and would never consider baby sitting for cash. Can't say I hate kids, but I wouldn't want to watch them. Anyways if your already use to it, money does make the world go round.

That doesn't sound good. xp
Are there no scholarship programs for going to camp? I know a few churches that pay for kids to go when they can't pay for it themselves.
