Princess_Asuki I actually expected that, and in the movie you can see that sweeney turns his head a bit up, he probably knew that Toby was there, because Toby can't disappear, so Sweeney was waiting for Toby to finish him, so he could be with his wife aww, that was a sweet way of putting it.

I know I already posted here, but a local production that I saw recently had Sweeney kill himself. o_o I'd never seen anyone do that before... it was always Toby.

Nudge Nudge I know I already posted here, but a local production that I saw recently had Sweeney kill himself. o_o I'd never seen anyone do that before... it was always Toby. how did he do that?? did he slit his own throat??

I liked the ending
It was sad though
I always almost cry when he finds out he killed his wife.

And the song at the ending is awesome too. It was the perfect ending, in my opinion. I mean, it's a dark movie. It definately won't end with everything turning out the way it should be ('cept for anthony and johanna)

I know the musical well, so I knew what was going to happen, to a point. Am I the only one who didn't understand why Todd was still over Lucy's body as opposed to slumped over it. I mean if you're gonna die, what held him up? Doesn't make sense. And the bleeding on her face was rather appallling too. Don't get me wrong, I love the blood in the movie, maybe too much was used at the end. I love the death scenes during the song "Johanna." That's somethng you would obviously not be able to do in the live theatre.
