Fabien was a little out of sorts today, he had to admit. He was tired, the last few nights had earned him little sleep for one reason or another and once again his damned, damned and damned again advisor's seemed to think it was in his best interests to try and marry him off to whichever daughter of noble birth happened to have the best dowry that week. He honestly wondered half the time where they found all this wilting and fainting maidens. Either way he knew that so far not a one of them had been his type, and honestly, as busy as he was just now the idea of having some simpering woman hanging off him, delighted with her new title did not appeal to him one bit. It was enough that he had his sister there constantly, for as twins they ran the place together, neither seemingly interested in finding joy in matrimony, Fabien was too consumed with the affairs for the Duchy, and his sister too wrapped up in the adventures of the heroines in her gothic novels. All in all it was more than Fabian was prepared to think of, this damned nonsense of taking a wife, who needed it?

Angelle herself would have happily married it had to said, but of course it would have to be some tall dark stranger of secretly noble birth who had lived the life of the briggand... or a count from some darkly mysterious castle, falsely accused of murdering his previous wife, that was what she wanted form life... a story, a wonderfully romantic story...

The labyrinth was often an end to those who entered. Often loosing their way and never leaving. Whether it be by death or the many obstacles that make you forget yourself, they never return. Worse yet was the obliates that left you forgotten for all. But Derrik called the walls home. He knew every nook and corner. He knew where ever door took them, and he knew what was safe and what wasn't.

But as anyone would guess, the labyrinth, no matter how different all the sections appeared, would grow bothersome on people who were sane and contained all of themselves. And Derrik needed to get out and get some fresh air. Perhaps find more materials for clothes. Based on the citizens that entered, his own clothes were started to grow out of fashion. Normally he kept up with the ways of the world and their fashions, but stealing teh very clothes from those wondering around aimlessly. Whether by corrupted wish, trickery, or just removing them from a dead body, he would collect and send them to one of the labyrinths own to sew and tailor.

Once he was out of his damnable home, he felt a sudden urge. As a djinni he often felt pulls and pushes to where his... skills could find themselves useful. Everyone could use wishes, and that drive is what calls to him. So it was no surprise when the very pull that was tugging at him, brought him the estate of some kind of royalty. It was the royalty that found themselves unhappy with lives. That was where he often came in. Show up, make things seem okay, and then just as he would leave, he would leave life in turmoil, as the true nature of their wishes start to full fill. Corruption was his game, Derrik was his name.

His desk was a state right now, Fabien would admit that to anyone, but with the amount of paperwork he had to look over each day that really wasn't so surprising.
With a small sigh however he set down the document he was looking at and pushed himself away from his seat at the paper strewn desk, moving over to the large glass doors that led out onto the medium sized balcony that hovered over the front porch of the house.
Letting his eyes slip closed he rested his hands on the railing, it was a nice day really, though it was getting progressively later and in an hour or so the sun would be dipping away behind the horizon again and his swarm of ever so helpful advisers would stream in and try to help him, which he really didn't need.
Especially when it came to their continual attempts to try and get him married off.. he was honestly in no hurry at all to end up married.
With a small, contented sigh he tugged down his brown silk waistcoat, the boots that went almost up to his knee's creaking slightly as he leant forward on the railing, enjoying the breeze that tugged through his medium brown hair. In all honesty, aside from his very green eyes he was a very dull coloured individual.

Derrik was working his way up a rather large path way, probably leading to some nobles home. He wasn't worried about having someone stopping him telling him he needed to turn around, and he was not worried about any traps that would keep him from turning around. He could easily work his way around people, and traps often failed to set around him as he was not a threat. He was only a threat to those that made a wish from him.

As he walked he started to sense the urge, pin pointing it's severity, and type. Almost like a smell. It was like a scent from a beautiful flower. One that he would love to pick. He could sense that some of the problems brewing around this area had some hints of marriage. He loved when he got to play with peoples hearts, with marriages. They were always fun, and easy. Everyone wishes for something grand when it comes to wedding. Some for the wedding of their dreams, for a long marriage full of happiness, or even for a way to flee the alter. So he from what he could feel pulling him in, would provide to him a great experience, and vacation from his norm in the labyrinth.
