Anyone here ever read Gaston Leroux's "The Phantom of the Opera?" Well, this is my little action-portrait-thing of poor, unhappy Erik. XD The scan sucks, besides not being drawn terribly well, I know, but... I've decided to post it anyway. I apologize if you dislike it.

Please inform me if you can't read the quote in the margins. XD
Oh, and here's a skull, too. Joy.

Wow o.o. Actually I think its cool, then again I love strange stuff like that. Besides with the quote up there and saying what its actually from I think its a wonderful piece. Its very emotional. I have the book but unfortunatly I couldn't understand it to well. @_@ I will finish it though!..someday -.-00 Please post up more if you can. ^^

Thank-you very much for your reviews. ^^ I should get to drawing Erik seriously more often. He's fun. XD
Well, in case there are people in this guild who don't know about the author of my signature, perhaps I can give a bit of a portrait-history thing.

[longrant] Joseph Carey Merrick was born in Leicester in 1862, and began showing severe deformities by fibrous tumours by the age of two, which rapidly grew and eventually covered over 90% of his body. From the time Merrick was twelve to about eighteen, he took up work as a freakshow oddity, commonly known by his stage name as "The Elephant Man." Later in life, after having been abandoned by his "owner" in Belgium, the London Hospital took him in under the orders of Sir Frederick Treves, a popular surgeon at the time. Until his death in April 1890, Merrick was known to write beautiful poetry and prose, most of which were lost during the bombing of the hospital's records during World War II. [/longrant]
