Henna passed through several other large caverns and a couple tunnels, always following the cold air, figuring that it would lead him to the source of the chilliness that kept Shoal Cave so cool in the sunny weather that surrounding the eastern sea of Hoenn.

It wasn't long before he entered by far, the chilliest of all the rooms so far. Sheets of ice lined the walls, from base to ceiling. It was beautiful, and cold. Very, very cold. However, Henna wasn't sure that this was what kept the cavern so cold. And so he continued on his venture for knowledge. He just hoped he didn't get lost.

When Henna found the source of all the cold, he wasn't as shocked or as surprised as he was when he saw the waterfall in Granite Cave. The whole room was ice. Several feet thick, and hardly any heat emanated from it. But what caused such a room to exist? How did it get here, and why was it here? Henna had to ask himself these questions multiple times, however he didn't think he'd get an answer anytime soon. But his train of though was cut short. A major sound could be heard.

This sound was similar to the one in Granite Cave, but Henna couldn't pinpoint it's location, and why was it even here. In a place this cold no moving water should exist. But yet, it sounded exactly like a waterfall. But Henna just couldn't believe it.

Henna could hear the sound intensify, and at that point he had remembered what the people of Mossdeep said. That Shoal Cave was under the influence of tides and it was suicidal to stay there when it was high tide. Henna grabbed his backpack, which he didn't even remember setting down, checked that he had his poke'balls, and hopped on Cygnas's back. He gave her the order to get them out of there quickly.

Cygnas squawked very indignantly and at the moment, her, her trainer, and her friends were all in severe danger. The cave was beginning to rapidly fill up with water. She bobbed and weaved through the stalactites and stalagmites that lined the large caverns.

As the water continually filled up the rooms, Henna could see the poke'mon adjust their lifestyle. Even Snorunt who normally only were in the deepest reaches of the cave, were swimming just fine in the blue water.

The pair slipped through the last opening of the massive foyer cavern that Henna first felt the cool draft, and at that time it was a race to get to breathable air, as the water was steadily filling up this place too.

It was a neck and neck race as Cygnas flew her fastest towards the top of the cavern and the entrance. Henna could feel the water creep up his leg. He felt bad, because there wasn't much he could do help Cygnas reach the top. Cygnas felt that and chirped her reply. She didn't mind. It's not like he was a very heavy trainer, and so there wasn't much he could do.

Henna could see the entrance to the cave and Cygnas gave her last push of energy to reach it before the water overtook them. As the cave reached the level of the entrance, he and Cygnas zipped outside into the clear air, and Henna promptly let Triton out and fell into the water, hanging onto him.

Cygnas sreeched into the air, when her trainer fell into the water, but the she sighed when she saw that he had released Triton to help him. But once that matter was resolved, Cygnas saw something glint out of the corner of her eye. She zipped over to it and saw it was an item. She grabbed it and as Henna treaded water with Triton, she handed him the item. It was a Technical Machine. "Where on earth did you find this?" he asked Cygnas.

She just gave one of her usual noises and that was it. "Well, ti doesn't matter. Finders keepers. I just hope nothing of mine washed away." He had to laugh. Here he was, floating in the open sea, soaked to the bone, and his poke'mon had to bring him an item that didn't even belong to him. There wasn't much hilarity about it, but he was still cracking himself up.
