I dunno if any of you guys have heard of it, but my school did it today (the day before the national one) and I actually participated in it. I just have to say that I hate not being able to talk and a few people at my school are d**k-heads.

Copy & Paste~! xd Quote: My school mostly has straight allies doing DoS because there are few of us gay folks.. O-o I'm participating ^__^ i'm going to wear my rainbow shirt, bracelet, shoes, and socks~! hahahha <33 Quote: That was my first attempt at a Day of Silence, and I must say, that was VERY challenging!! It was especially hard not to yell when provoked and to remain confident in the hallways or classrooms when everyone is staring. >___> I'm glad to say that I made it~! A couple people told me they were proud of me =] and others just accepted it and smiled

A lot of people wore white to protest the day at my school. I didn't really mind, but it pissed me off when people had crude things written on them like "Silly f**, dicks are for chicks."

Omg that's such a terrible thing to say/wear. ;__; our school prohibits any offensive or drug-promoting clothing hahahha
Yesss it was so hard to do for me too whee By the end of the day I was at my breaking point, especially when some rednecks and jocks were reading my info paper in a retarded voice from like South Park or something.

Our school supposedly does that too, but they don't really do anything about it... I am glad that one teacher made him cover the shirt up for their class, though.

I've been doing the day of silence for a couple years now. It sucks when I get static for it, but it's actually nice to just be able to smirk at them and walk away.
