Holy s**t.
I don't even know
where to start
with describing
how AMAZING
this show was!!
So I went with Meg,
my wifey who lives in NJ,
that I met online. I picked
her up that morning, and
we met in person for
the first time ever, which was
AWESOME!
I have not seen the boys
act so incredible in a LONGG time,
never in any videos... not even at
any Jersey shows!
Meg and I had floor seats, and we was a few feet
away from the barricade on the right
of the theater.. we were so close to the stage!
Okay, so David Costa opened
with an AMAZINGG performance, which
must've been about 40 minutes long.
So anyways, after David Costa, Drive By,
who were also really great, played for maybe
30-50 minutes.. I'm not sure how long it was.
Billy Talent was next up, and in the process of
setting up, I saw David Costa on a balcony
near me [like only 20 ft away] , and there were a few dudes with him. One
of them had long blond hair with a black beanie and hoodie
on, and I realized it was Bob!
I screamed up to him
"BOB!", and he immediately turned his
head and looked at the general area I was
in, trying to see who screamed it.
So a second time, I screamed it even louder,
"BOB!!!!". He looked RIGHT at me, and then
ran through the doorway, LMAO!!
[WHICH MEANS I ACCOMPLISHED MY GOAL
OF SCARING AWAY BOB!]
Soo, anyways, Billy Talent was ******** played for at least an hour, and then a longgg
set-up time took place,
and before we knew it, MCR was up..
the crowd went INSANE!
They started with playing Disappear
and such, and it just lead to an AMAZING
concert.
At one point, Gerard sang a duet with
James, who played a beautiful keyboard solo,
and Gerard sang a GORGEOUS slowed down
version of Vampires Will Never Hurt You! It was AMAZING!
I was sooo amazed and surprised he sang it, it was just beautiful.
That led
into Give Em' Hell Kid, which made the crowd mosh
like crazy. Another really exciting song was
Headfirst for Halos, everybody went insaneeee.
I'll be putting up the setlist up in the next few
days, and I'll add pictures and Videos
[including the Vampires one]
:]
It was DEFINITELY the best day of my life.
Meg has been to two MCR concerts in New Jersey,
and they didn't even give as an amazing performance
as they did in their home-state!
Did anyone else go to either of the Chicago
shows?
If so, tell about them!
