I have recently found out from an unnamed source. Sorry I can not say or this person will get into trouble. But this source has told me they are secretly making shock collars that don't look like shock collars to use on animals to make them "obidiant".

I want all your opions on this. What should be done to make this stop. My source is gathering information on the inside to use against the company to stop this monstrocity. I want your help on how we can support my source to be able to have the courage to go up against them and stop this inhumane act.

I will tell you this now. She does not know what to do and to be honest I am at a lost for words and action at this point in time also sweatdrop I have never done this before either. And I would appreciate your feed back.

You might what to do some research on how shock collars are supposed to be used.
New collars now mostly vibrate, have different levels of intensity, and offer only a mild shock at the highest levels. The idea with a shock collar is to correct behavior that is difficult for a handler to correct immediately. The dog also doesn't associate the handler with the correction.

They can be very useful, even life saving. Caesar Milan once did an excellent show on how to properly use a shock collar. The dog was a cattle dog on a expansive farm that had an obsession with moving tractor tires, and almost got ran over once or twice in her fanatic desire to bite at the tires. By applying a quick shock/vibrate when the dog started to go for the tires, it broke her concentration and she began to associate biting at the tires with an upleasant experince. Needless to say, she was cured, and her life ultimately saved. The owner could apply the correction without having to be right with the dog, and the dog didn't associate the owner with the correction.

That may be true but most people don't know how to properly use them so often their ignorance causes the dogs to be hurt by the collars rather then cured of bad habbits. Until you have worn one and personaly show me proof that you have been shocked and then you can still tell me it didn't hurt then I'll buy your story, and if you think about it, its like shocking a baby for everytime it druels, its just wrong.

Why would they make shock collars that don't look like shock collars anway?Because they think animal are so smart and would not wear something that looks like a shock collar or rather a real shock collar?

Then if animals are this smart that means they have feelings.Thoe people who are trying to make those bldy collars just don't of this points.I feeling like asking them to test out their own products.

You are applying human emotions and feelings to animals.

Animals do not think and understand like humans.

When a parent disciplines a child, they usually use a firm tone or even a certain 'look'. Teachers may make the child write lines or sit in time out. As humans, we can understand what it was we have done, process it, think about it. We can understand the dangers we might experience by running across a street when cars are coming, etc.

We cannot say 'Stop that!' to an animal and have it fully understand what we wanted. It hears a loud tone and senses our aggressive body language. Animals learn by pressure and release of pressure. We can not sit at a tea table and reason with them: "You know, Fido old chap, I'd rather you not go across to Mrs. Robinson's yard and harass her cats. Now, how about another scone, eh?"
We must use techniques and pressure that they understand.

I will not put on a shock collar, because I am a human and I don't need one to understand my wrongs. Humans use words and discussion, animals use pressure, release of pressure, and body language.

I think you mean "drools".
Firstly, that is ridiculous, and I don't think you are thinking through your words. We are not discussing natural habits of animals. No one disciplines a dog for sneezing, breathing, or scratching. Shock collars are used to correct behavior that could result in harm to the animal or another human.

Why disguise the look of a shock collar? Most collars have a large box on the side and can be heavy and stiff. For a working dog out in the open, it could be clunky and the box might even get caught on something, so designers are trying to slim them down.

i think shock collars are wrong. (trust me, they can be painful at times... sweatdrop ) animals respond better when the owner is calm (for those of you who watch the greatest american dog (i luv it, but i'm sad that preston doesn't have a pink mohawk anymore... (but it didn't hurt him, it just looked cool) one of the judges said that kenji (i think her name was alana? well, if that's her name, alana's dog) would get stressed out because every time kenji did something wrong, alana would be kinda strict (tone-wise, no violence) and yeah...)

what was i talking about again...?

i too hate the idea of a shock collar. But there are reasons for it. Im not saying i approve of animal cruelty i mean that the collar is ment for dogs with thick necks like a pit rottie etc. i doesnt hurt them its just a little tingling sensation to them. i would know because i have a pit and we have a shcok collar and he doesnt flinch or yelp. Thats how i know it doesnt hurt because when my dog is in any pain he yelps (And it breaks my heart to hear him yelp crying )
