Down at the southeastern-most tip of the Reserve was an area once known for being dangerous and wild. No otter of decent standards hunted there for fear of the things lurking in the shadows.
That is, until Shih Ching took up the territory.
A demonic elder known for her fearlessness and cunning, she refined the large stretch of river and the surrounding areas into a more respectable, livable territory. Only problem was it was much too big for just one otter and her squirrel aid.
So, being the shrewd business-otter, Shih decided that she would open her territory to other creatures looking for a home, protection, or just a place to hunt.
For a price, that is...
Edit~ Okay, so I've noticed that people have been reading this, so for those that read but may not exactly be interested, could you at least post in here what you think of the idea?

Those who are welcome...- Those looking for a home or hunting grounds - Those who wish to assist Mistress Ching in monitoring the inhabitants of her territory - Those who wish to assist Mistress Ching in protecting the territory and its inhabitants - Those who wish to be Shih's female assistants in the manner of primping and attending (Sort of ladies-in-waiting. Really mostly glorified friends.)

Laws
-Living/Hunting Tax-
>Once every 60 days, every adult living or hunting in the territory must pay a small tax to Ching. (This in done in the form of a small roleplay with either myself or one of Ching's assistants sometime in a 2 month span. No actual payment is needed.)<
>Tax is accepted whenever within the time span, but not afterwards<
>Tax is payable in the form of any one of the following...
~1 large fish~
~2 crayfish~
~3 clams (Any pearls within said clams are returned to the tax-payer)~
~1 pearl~
~1 rare thing (It can be anything Ching might find interesting or attractive. She may, however, choose to not accept it, so don't use that at the last minute)~
>Hunters do not have to live in the territory, but poaching is prohibited<
-Assistants, Warriors, and Ladies-
>These select creatures are not subjected to the tax as long as they do their job<
>Assistants: Shih needs at least one assistant to keep track of payments. This can be any type of creature, even mini or familiar.
>Warriors: Shih needs warriors to help protect the other creatures in the territory. These must be at least adult otters or predators and can be either gender.
>Ladies: Shih likes to talk, and would love female friends as cunning and chatty as she is to tend to her. These must be adult female otters or predators only.
>Matings of Warriors or Ladies must be approved by Ching. Don't fret, though. Ching wouldn't disapprove unless there was a very important reason<

The tax is in no way a tangible thing.
I don't want you sending me gold or customing items for Ching instead of the bi-monthly rp request.
This is a roleplay incentive. Roleplay your TOO giving Ching/one of her assistants the tax payment.
Ching rewards those loyal to her, so there's always the possibility that she might get something for them in return for their loyalty. *hintcoughhint* Lumi Edit: Remember, roleplaying is also your otter's road to elder-hood, or other rewards if your otter happens to be an elder already (or a predator). <3 And it maaaay also be a good way to get items for your pet. Or free breedings. Just sayin'. wink I will also see if I can't throw random big plots in, like, say, a war with a neighboring territory or something, to shake things up a bit.
No, this doesn't make me a rp mod or anything, just a creative kid who wanted to have a bit of fun.Oh, what a feeling, it must be love! heart

He sees himself serving a minor role in life, his only real talent being a Fisher. Not really interested in following Admiral Drake in his antics or leading the life of a loner like Ketsueki, he seeks refuge from Mistress Ching. He is not known to be much of a fighter, but Renkai will battle to protect Mistress Ching's territory, if that is what she asks of him. Image: Renkai is also in possesion of a small, angelic clam named Jaydin. Until she is old enough to serve at Shih's side as a Warrior or Lady-in-waiting, she can prove to be a useful assitant; curious and determined to do Shih's bidding. (after she emerges from her clam, of course ;3)

He has a good eye for detail, especially when it involves remembering something about somebody. He'd probably be best at remembering who gave what rather than who didn't give. He is quite young, and would probably imprint a little bit on the adult he was around the most. (This could be quite useful for Ching; not only would he do whatever she said, he'd be happy about it.) Ali~ Kit-kat's so pretty! Ching'll love her!
Mel~ Hunters don't live on the land, just fyi. They have dens outside of the territory, but are allowed to hunt in the territory.
Scara~ He's so cute! And as you can see, Ching herself has "makeup" so she wouldn't dream of it. He'd learn more from Hsu, but he'd be around both of them a lot.
FYI, there is a sort of Meet-and-Greet RP in the Territory. This is required for acceptance into the territory.I mean, how can Ching okay you if she doesn't know you? xd
