Meditate every moment of every day, until you become a living embodiment of the scripture yourself.
...
Don't stress it,
I've never read an entire scripture. I never meditate either, so I suppose I can't answer this rightfully.
However, as I've always heard, it is good to start with everywhere from 15-30 minutes per session, two sessions a day (one in the morning, one at night)
However, this varies.
For example, Zen Buddhism is based HEAVILY on meditation, where other sects may not be.
Scripture is not something to be considered "OHGODYOUTOUCHEDTHESCRIPTUREBURNBURNBURN", "OHGODYOUDONTREADSCRIPTUREENOUGHGETBACKINSIDEANDREEEEEAD" or anything of the sort. This is no mandatory scripture reading time.
Take it slow, learn as it comes.
As for sites for scripture, google it. ;P My favorite is the Nipata Sutra..

My favourite jump poin for scripture is http://www.accesstoinsight.org - they're working on putting up good translations (with monk and professional translator help) of the entire tripitaka. Fun site.

If you need stuff from other traditions (the tripitaka is just the baseline/Theravadan stuff, other sects have more), I'd recommend trying http://www.buddhanet.net - they've got a fairly decent multischol archive going, with links sections that'll bounce you to sites written by just about every school out there.
