I have afriend who has his black belt buddy punch ihim in the stomach as hard as he can to build up resistance, and to build abs better. Personally that ios too extreme for me at the moment.

Well before my body got to punching he started with a medicine ball durring sit ups. He would have people bounce it off his stomach during sit ups.It is a resistance exercise. He just built it up so that when he tenses his stomach he can take one hell of a punch. I don't really mean thta you should get the s**t beat out of you, like all things in martail arts it takes time.
