Sorry, but this was written out on word first, then posted here. I'm too lazy to put in the italics and indentation, so good luck reading it. Any suggestions or edits would be great.
Isadora I'm new and I don't know anyone. It's just a matter of days before I go insane. I pushed open the door to the classroom and walked in. Time to make my grand entrance to Soluna High. A grand first entrance that somehow (to my embarrassment, but not my surprise) included landing right on my face. No one noticed, so I took in my surroundings. Near the back of the class by the windows, a group of girls were flocking around a desk. Their squealing and excited chatter could've made parrots pass out. Don't tell me, I'm in the first period class with another one of the popular player types. What horrid luck. A man walked in to the classroom and order seemed to fill the room. The girls all rushed to their desks, giving me a clear view of the boy. "Are you Ms. Isadora Lynelle Zariel?" The teacher, I suppose. That's my cue to stand up. I hope I don't fall again… "Yeah, that's me." " Class, this is a new student of ours: Isadora Zariel. Welcome to Soluna High." "Just call me Izzie." " Ms. Shirina needs come take her proper seat up in the FRONT of the class. Izzie, you can take her seat by Elric." He was quiet and tall with straight blond hair and bangs that fell over his eyes. He probably sensed my staring and looked up. His green eyes met mine for a brief instant, sending chills up my spine. He had a beautiful face. I could've sworn I heard a few audible groans from the males in the classroom. A girl sitting near who I presumed to be Elric frowned as she stood up. Passing her, she 'accidentally' knocked my notebook and pencil out of my hands. "Oops." She sneered. "No, I'm the clumsy one." I sighed and picked up what I'd dropped. This is what I get for getting a seat by him. Class is going to be a nightmare.
Elric Why do these girls come by my desk every day? This is getting SO out of hand. I sighed quite audibly and pulled away as another rabid girl grabbed my hand and attempted to get my attention. The door to the classroom opened and the teacher stepped in. "Class, this is a new student of ours: Isadora Zariel. Welcome to Soluna High." He called out to the unmotivated classroom. Two guys in front of me nudged each other, which caused me to look up at the new girl. "Just call me Izzie." She smiled hesitantly out to the class. She was a short brunette with long hair that shone in the sunlight flooding through the windows. She carried a tote bag with a red and white cherry print on a black background that she set on her desk before sliding in to her seat with an exasperated sigh. Time passed without a word. She was different, to say the least. Unlike the other girls, she didn't spend the entire class trying to get my attention. Instead, she took notes and participated. She even cracked a few jokes with the teacher and the rest of the class. To my surprise it was driving me insane. To make it worse, the fact that she smelled like peaches and crème (which happened to be my favorite scent) didn't help. It only raised my awareness of her presence. For the first time, I actually wanted a girl to talk to me. The bell rang and she got up. Two girls immediately bounced over to Isadora and asked where her next class was. If I don't introduce myself now, I'll seem rude, won't I? Well, here goes. "Hello, I'm Elric Ziarre." I introduced myself and extended a hand. She took one look at me and walked off. I stepped in front of her. "Sorry, did I do something wrong? Whatever it is, I apolo-" "Ya know what." She planted her hands on her hips and glared up at me. "Huh?" "I hate your type. You think every girl is gonna bow down to you, just because you've got a pretty face. Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but I'm NOT THAT EASY." The two girls she was talking to stared as she walked out of the classroom. A few of the guys started laughing and a few more began to tease me. But none of that mattered, because when our eyes met, I felt a static pass through my body. It wasn't an unpleasant feeling. In fact, I liked it.

Isadora Oh, the NERVE of it all. I spend all class trying to make it known that I'm NOT interested and then he goes and thinks I'm gonna cave in like the rest of the girls. I HATE guys like him!! I got off the bus and sighed deeply. Homework was a breeze as usual. I finished in an hour, so I took an early shower. The soothing water relaxed all my muscles enough to reflect on the day. I took in a deep breath and the moisture in the air mixed with the smell of peaches and crème filled my senses. It was almost enough to push the Blond Beauty out of my mind. Almost. I finished the shower and came out drying my hair just as the front door opened. Mom was finally home. "Hey Iz, I bought dinner. And I found a club you can fence at. It's pretty expensive, so we'll probably have to save up a bit before we can pay the membership fee. I can't wait to pick up a saber again." "Sweet!" "How was your first day? " "It's was actually fun. I think I made a lasting impression on everyone." "Oh, boy. Good or bad?" "A mix of both?" I replied, unsure of how to assess the events of today. I grabbed a burger from the bag and thirstily gulped down the vanilla coke. "Did you get any homework?" "Yeah. Simple stuff, really. It's all done too." "Great, so do you want to stay up and watch CSI with me? I think there's a new episode tonight." We watched CSI together whenever time allowed us. "Not tonight. I'm gonna go hit the hay." "Really… Iz, did something happen at school today?" "Nothing." I called out behind me while I disappeared in to my room. I laid down on the bed and took in a single deep breath. "Nothing happened…" Just Elric. Elric As the chauffer pulled up to the front gate, I opened the car door and stepped out on to the gravel and through the front gate. The fountain bubbled mystically when I passed. My personal attendant held the one of the large double doors to the mansion open. "Master Elric, would you like anything?" "No, thank you. And I'd prefer to be alone tonight." "Yes, sir." He bowed. "Richard." "Yes, sir?" "You don't need to bow to me or call me 'Master'. Actually, you don't even have to call me 'sir'. Shouldn't we be on a first name basis by now?" "Sorry, sir." He realized what he had let slip and his face grew red. "Old habits die hard." I joke. He laughed and I ascended the stairs with my mood slightly lifted. Isadora was still on my mind. I opened the door to my room and went immediately to my personal master bathroom to take a shower. Afterwards, I plopped down on to the fluffy king-sized mattress on the far end of my bedroom. "Ms. Isadora Zariel, you've officially caught my attention." I fell asleep thinking of her. I'm sure she fell asleep thinking of me too.

Being the idiot that I am, I forgot to mention that this is for a school project. Anyways, carry on.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Isadora Am I awake? No, I don't know this place. It's so calming though. And so… so familiar? Ack! What am I thinking? This is a dream, isn't it? The hallways echoed with both a calming and eerie silence. Footsteps came and went like a fleeting sigh of the wind. The air turned crisp. "Evelyn how is the Judgmental Mirror?" Frosty. "It's barely holding up." She reported. Freezing. "Sorell, the Emotional?" Glacial. "It's strong, as always." He replied. The Priestess collapsed. "Priestess Anyah!" "The Judgment Mirror is cracking. I can't move… Evie, are you ok?" "Slowing, but functional. But what I'm more worried about is you! Your eyes-" The clear blue eyes of the graceful beauty had turned an alarming black shade. "I know, Evelyn." The Priestess smiled up at her assistant kindly. "I can't see. I'm afraid you're going to have to carry me. My body just won't move itself." "Yes, Priestess…" The assistants swiftly scooped up her limp body and carried her down the hall. Her white robes gathered frost along the ground, leaving drag marks. "Put her down. Now." A chill ran through the room. "How did you get in here!" Sorell gently laid the Priestess on the ground. Evelyn stepped to his side and readied her staff for a light spell. "How? It's in my blood. Or do you forget what you learned so quickly. I am the same as HER. The product of the union between the purest Emotional and Judgmental." Before the Judgmental could cast her spell, a wave of dark magic flowed from his palm and struck her. She silently collapsed in to a heap on the floor. The assistant for Judgment had fallen. Sorell attempted to cast a wind spell, but the frigid air turned on him and struck him down. The Judgment Mirror shattered in an echo that shook the Temple. The blacked robed man picked the Priestess up by the neck and slammed her limp body in a chokehold against the wall. "Unlike YOU, my dearie, I haven't become attached to the Judgmentals or Emotionals. With my own powers, I shall fix what you have let go wrong!" "This betrayal… will end badly for you…" The Priestess mustered up all the power she had to cast one last spell. The frost in the room had become spikes of ice, which began flinging themselves at the dark robed man. "I'm not the real danger here! You of all people should know that!" He called as he dissipated out of the room. "I'll be back for the last Mirror!"
Elric This had got to be the weirdest night in my entire history of sleeping. This is the first time I've dreamt of magic. And I can't seem to wake up this time. What IS this? "Elric, Isadora, find me. I need you to carve this pattern in to a mirror for me. Make sure you two are together." A symbol of a conjoined moon and sun glowed at my feet. It looked as though the moon was inside of its solar twin. "W-wait!" A different voice called from the darkness. I turned to see the origin of the words. I guess that even in a dream world, I can get shivers from her eye contact.

Oh good gods.
Don't get me wrong, this was great, absolutely great, at least until the mirror part. The cliches were already poking at me before then, but that was a bit much. I don't want to lie and say I didn't like it, but I can't say that this is also slightly ridiculous.
new girl. Hot guy. Rebel. Rich kid.
And then alternate universes adn magic.
No. no, no, no. They'd be fine separate, but together.....
excuse me. kinda pissy. But I can't lie; books like this on the shelf kill me. They'd be fine if they weren't overused.
It's not your fault though. Someone has to do it right. Continue?

Elric This is the first time I've dreamt of magic… Huh. There's more. "Elric, Isadora, find me. Carve this pattern in to a mirror. Stay together." It was the Priestess from before. A symbol of a conjoined moon and sun glowed at my feet. It looked as though the moon was inside of its solar twin. Then it all faded in to reality. She walked in through the door and promptly marched to me, pushing back the sea of girls who mobbed around my desk. Grabbing my wrist, she stormed out of the classroom. Halfway down the hall is where she decided to speak. Don't think about the dream I've been getting it repeatedly for a week. "Did you have a weird reoccurring dream this week?" So maybe that plan didn't go so well. "About these three weird people, a guy and two girls I think, and magic and they were in this place and then they talked about a mirror and then this guy in black robes took that blind girl and tried to kill her and then she..." She dragged me to the outside of the girl's restroom. "Wait." I stopped her mid sentence. "You had that dream too?" "Phew…" She exhaled. A wave of relief washed over her features. She smiled up at me and stepped closer. This was going to be an extremely private conversation. "Hey you two love birds!" Someone called from the hallway, "Get a room!" I rolled my eyes and ignored the comment. Isadora, on the other hand, yanked me in to the girl's restroom. There was an audible chorus of shouting from males in the hallways. "Ok. So we had the same dream." She clarified, also ignoring the shouting. "Apparently." A girl rushing to class shot us strange looks. Who wouldn't when the most popular boy in school was in the girl's restroom? Especially when he made it a point not to associate with the opposite gender. "I'm gonna etch that design on to a mirror, just like she instructed." "Vandalism?" Even though I sounded calm, I was shocked. "Shut up." She shot back. Then she pulled a pocketknife out of her jeans pocket and scratched the image from last night's dream on to the mirror flawlessly. Suddenly, the symbol on the mirror glowed cobalt and sunk in to the mirror's center. Isadora placed her fingertips on the mirror. Ripples sprouting from her fingertips converged with each other. I grabbed her arm in alarm and tripped, so we both fell forward in to the mirror.

Isadora "Ow!" I landed on my lovely rear and the Blond Beauty tumbled out after me. I surveyed my surroundings. A room lit by indescribable artificial light. The walls were cold and the floor was covered in snow. "Who's there!" I looked to the source of the call and saw the male assistant. He had black hair, brown eyes, and was slightly taller than me. He was dressed in black and blue robes with silver trim. A book with matching colors was clasped in his left hand. "I'm not going to hurt you if explain how you got in here. You have three seconds. Waste words and I won't hesitate to decapitate you magically." "I-I'm Isadora Z-zariel and t-this is E-el-elric…" I stuttered, shaking with fear. "Elric Ziarre." He supported in an even tone. His calm was unnatural. "Wait. Zariel and Ziarre? How did you get in here?" The man interrogated. "Uhm…" I stuttered, "Well, there was a mirror and we sorta just… fell… in? I carved a design on a mirror and the thing just started glowing and then it rippled when I touched it and then the Blond Beauty grabbed me and we both fell in so now we're here, talking to you and I have no idea what's going on." I took in a deep breath. "Did you just call me Blond Beauty?" Elric raised an eyebrow. "Shut up." I retorted. Suddenly, the man began speaking. "Zariel and Ziarre were the first two twins from a Judgmental and Emotional." "What?" I asked, both intrigued and confused. "Follow me. I'll explain when we reach the inner chamber." "We don't even know you! Why would we follow? What If I don't want to follow? What if I just want to go home?" "I am Sorell. Seeing as the Judgmental mirror is broken, there's no way for you to return to your world. The trip is a one-way ticket. If you want to go home, help me fix the mirror. There's no choice but to follow." He spoke so calmly, it drove me insane. I felt my face getting hot and my nails digging in to the palms of my clenched fists. The Blond Beauty stood silent for a few moments before stepping behind Sorell, evidently deciding to comply. With nothing else to do, I followed. Elric We followed Sorell across the snowy floor and in to a smaller room where the woman from the dream lay unconscious. I did my best to show no signs of recognition. "This is The Priestess Anyah. She is only twin from the Union." "I'm sorry," Isadora mumbled, "but still have no clue what you're talking about." "Let's begin then. First of all, you and Ziarre..." "Elric, please." I cut in. "Elric," he corrected, "are Emotionals. You come from the world of Emotion, where personal feelings and interests govern your actions. Your world has a reckless free will, sometimes wrongly referred to as 'chaos'. This world you are in now is the Judgmental world. Here, decisions are mostly influenced by logic. However, both worlds hold elements of their opposite. Those who are more logical in your world have a strong Judgmental influence. Those in this world who are more unpredictable have a strong Emotional influence." "Are you a Judgmental?" Isadora asked. "No, I'm an Emotional. A chosen purity to assist the Priestess." "So why are we here?" She asked him. "It is believed that in a time of great crisis, descendants of the first pure assistants would come to aid. That time is now. The Dark One has broken the mirror that stabilizes the lives of all Judgmentals. I need you to help me fix it by helping me collect the last material, black diamond powder. That mixed with pure blood of a Judgmental should restore the mirror. I've tried white diamond powder and Emotional blood and had no effect. Are you willing to help me acquire the black diamond powder?" "Yes." Isadora replied and I nodded my head. "Step forward." Sorell commanded. We obliged and he opened his book and murmured a few words. I felt a rush of wind and then the settling of cloth. When I opened my eyes, I had on black robes with silver trim. A small staff with a winged orb was clutched in my left hand. Isadora wore a white outfit with gold trim that was fit for a swordsman of the plains, yet was too graceful to properly fit to a person of that stature. Isadora unsheathed her sword and practiced a few lunges and parries. She knew her swordplay. "Elric, I see you are experienced in music." Sorell addressed me. "Piano, violin, and some woodwinds." "Both if you listen carefully. There are three ways to cast a spell. The first is for you to poetically phrase what you want your magic to do. The other is if you play a melody that conveys the essence of the spell you wish to cast. Lastly, you may sing a song that expresses the magic you wish to use. Elric, your staff becomes any instrument of your choice, therefore only you may use the second spell-casting method. Try it." "Ocarina." The staff glowed and shrunk until it became an ocarina. I put it to my lips and played one of my favorites. I felt the room grow warm and when I opened my eyes, grass had grown in a circle around my feet. "Like that. To turn an instrument back, you only need to command it to by saying 'Return'. Now try the other way." "Return." I commanded and the staff shrank in to my hands once more. "Good. Now the two of you follow me. There is much work to be done." We followed Sorell down a flight of stairs and a series of hallways until we reached a large steel square in the wall. It was a door with no handles. "Elric, you need to unlock this with your magic." Sorell instructed. I stood silent for a few seconds. "Handless door that conceals my fate, I wish for you to open your gate." The door slid out of the wall and dropped with a clang. Cold air rushed out to meet us. "Once again, nicely done. You have a knack for this." My guide complimented. "Good job, El!" Isadora piped. "Did you just call me 'El'?" It was a rhetorical question. She answered anyway. "And I like calling you El. It's short and easy." "Then I get to call you 'Izzie'. It's short and it fits." "You two stop with the chit chat. It's the Butterflies."
