It was springtime. Trees, bushes and all sorts of things were blossoming beautifully. The warm sunshine sprinkled down through the trees, landing on a little brown pup which wasn't more than 8 weeks old. The way she laid was almost as if she was helpless, but she certainly wasn't. Squinting her eyes a bit at the bright sunshine, she glanced over at her mother and her brother that were napping together a couple yards away. They were so boring...
Her fat puppy legs stumbled to a standing position, and she began to wiggle herself towards the small creek that ran through the center of the park. The mud from the wet bank stuck to her white paws and she looked down at them in disgust, almost wishing she hadn't come over there. But nevermind that! She wanted play in the creek!

 This new weather was so much more pleasant than the weather that he had heard when he could not see. Out in the park the colors were so bright and everything was so spacious, no wonder his father insisted that he come along. Why was the family sleeping though?
With a little growl mostly to himself, Kai was stuck underneath his father's bushy tail. But another puppy crossed his path and immediatly his tail was wagging.
"Hey..." He whispered a little yell to try to get the pup's attention without waking his father.

Paprika flicked head back, looking at the pup that muttered the noise. There seemed to be a bigger, older dog guarding him. At least, that's what she could make of it. Raising a brow, she cocked her head to the side. "Hey?" She seemed rather uninterested with him and began putting her paws in the cool creek water. Lifting them up and splashing them around playfully. "Heehee."

Malakai cocked his head a bit watching the other puppy. What was she doing? Upon the giggle he decided he wanted to join her whatever the cost. Stretching out his back paws he made himself as flat as possible and tried his hardest to wiggle all of his puppy weight out from underneath his father.
As soon as he was free he didn't even wait to get fully to his feet before he took off running towards the creek wagging his tail. Sumbling a little bit he found himself running to one side and not in a straight line as he was trying for. Eventually he got to the creek and to announce himself he jumped in the water right beside the other pup.
"Hi! I'm Kai..."

Paprika wasn't really paying much attention to where the other pup was headed. She was lost in her own world, pawing a the rocks and the water. Being slightly girly, she didn't really mind getting her paws wet, but if anything else got wet, she would likely be in a rotten mood the rest of the day. Speaking of which...
Splash!
The other pup had landed in the water right next to poor Paprika. The cool water sunk right to her bones. "Ayeeeeee!" She screamed, leaping out of the creek, dripping with the water that now covered her. Quickly, she shook her fur on cue hoping a least that she would get him a little wet.
"Why'd you do that!?"

Expecting the puppy's reaction to be like that of his brothers or sisters, Kai jumped straight into a playful defensive position low to the ground into the shallow water. A bit of a chuckling laugh came from deep in his belly when all she did was shake at him with a very tiny mist coming over the brown puppy.
"I like splashing? I've never heard that sound come out of anyone but my sisters before.. But you get much higher than they do.."
Standing back up, figuring she wouldn't attack him, he had a big silly smile on his face and his tail was at a soft but constant wag.
