This is the Underground Demon Syndicate’s roleplay advertisement thread. This topic is for thread creators who wish to advertise their roleplay, and for future roleplayers who are looking for a run down on some of the wonderful roleplays offered here.

Posting is limited to actual advertisements only. If you wish to ask a question feel free to PM either myself or the roleplay creator whose thread you are interested in joining. Absolutely no general discussion is allowed on this board.

If you didn’t get all that let me emphasis it more

- Only Advertisements by roleplay creators -

- If you are a roleplay creator, restrict your post to only the advertisement -

- In other words no “please join” in another post underneath it -

- No discussion on this thread please -

- Questions about this thread are to be PM’d to me -

- Questions about specific roleplays can be PM’d to their corresponding creator -

- No spamming, flaming, bashing, trolling, or any other violent or angry word that happens to end with –ing -

I’ll be posting up a little example of what an advertisement thread might look like. Videos and pictures are welcome, but no stretching please, it’s rude.

How to Make an Advertisement

Now, you may be saying to yourself “I’d love to put up an advertisement, but I don’t know where to start!” Nothing could be easier! I’ve put up six easy steps that will help you get started in promoting your roleplay.

Step One:

Start off with the title of your roleplay. Preferably, the one you used to title your thread. Don’t put this directly at the top, but leave a couple blank spaces before you enter in your title. This draws the eye in a little more.

Step Two:

Leave a link to your roleplay somewhere. Place it where it will be easy to find, and where people don’t need to go searching through your post to find it.

Step Three:

Write an introduction to your roleplay. It needn’t be very long, as potential roleplayers only want a brief overview of what your thread is about. Make it too long winded, and people will lose interest and move on to the next thing. Though, this is the eye catcher of your post. Usually, this will make or break someone’s decision on whether or not to continue reading.

Step Four:

Write a few tidbits about your roleplay in another paragraph. Explain the literacy levels that you accept. Also, write a few things about what type of roleplay it is. If it’s a sci-fi arena battle roleplay, then mention that.

Step Five:

Add a few pictures or a link to a video about your roleplay somewhere in your post. Keep pictures to a minimum though, you don’t want to overshadow the actually content in your advertisement. Pictures and videos are, of course, optional. Also, a bit of colour perks up the interest of a potential roleplayer rather than the standard black. Make sure any coloured font is easy to read!

Step Six:

The way you format your post can do much to attract people to your roleplay. The human eye first glances over things in a ‘Z’ pattern before reading. Starting with the top left and ending at the bottom right. Leaving a bit more blank space at the bottom of your post than at the top will also draw in the eye. This simple editing makes the overall appearance of your post more aesthetically pleasing, and easier to read.

These steps are simply guidelines for those who don’t know where to start with their advertisement. You may make your post look however you’d like as long as you don’t violate the rules stated in the first post, or any guild and Gaia rules. Happy promoting!

The Underground Demon Syndicate’s Master/Slave Thread

Welcome to The Slave Pens, where masses of people are run through every day for the sole purpose of having their bodies sold away to others. Things weren’t always like this though. Once, there was no defining line between “free races” and “enslaved races”. Yet, that has been changed with the addition of a Demon who has proclaimed himself the Monarch. A thousand years later, people have become to see this distinction as the norm, but there are still some who are willing to cross the line into the forbidden...

Now it’s time to tell you a little bit about my roleplay!

It’s a Slave and Master roleplay, but a little bit different from your ordinary ones.

Literacy is set at semi-lit to literate, so chatspeak doesn’t really have a place there.

It’s supposed to be good clean fun, so keep everything at the PG-13 limit.

It’s a modern fantasy. Not medieval.

Other than that, more detailed rules and guidelines are in the thread.

There are many different options to help you build up a character!

Several different accessories for ‘slave’ characters may be chosen.

There are also a number of different races, each with their own inborn abilities. I’m more than open to suggestions from potential roleplayers.

I’ll be trying to update the lists for races, abilities, and accessories periodically. New items and races should be added soon!
