Derrik held onto Jade, and stared at their feet, as he started to brush his leg against the others. "I would never have thought we could have such a good time together. Its almost like you were meant to run into me." He leaned over and Kissed Jade, happy to be with the other.
"Fish are pretty and all, but I would much rather have you save me... You are much more beautiful than any of those fish." He let out a chuckle and started to take Jades hand in his own, fingers interlacing.

Jade smiled at Derrik and shifted his leg out of instinct, snuggling closer to the other when he was kissed. "I know, it's a little weird...good weird though." He murmured against the others lips, content to just enjoy the moment.
"Aaaaw, even the shiny fish I saw on the way over here? Least I thought it was a fish." Jade answered with a small blush, squeezing Derrik's hand gently.

"A shiney fish? I saw something... glowing or glittering all the way at the bottom. I thought it was a reflective rock or something..." He pulled away from Jade and started to ponder about it. "It was a pretty glow, it seemed to have reacted to how I looked at it... I wonder what it was." He stood up and adjusted his underwear that had dispositioned themselves on his body.
"Ugh, this is why I hardly ever wear them." He said getting frustrated, before just plopping back into the water.

"Hey, you should go see if it's treasure." Jade commented, kicking his legs under the water, he slid down and into the lake again, blushing when Derrik commented on his underwear. "You do See the type to go commando, I think..." He murmured, embarrassment in his tone.
He looked across the water, the thing that Derrik had saw playing on his mind aswell. He pulled away and started swimming back in the direction they came from. "C'mon, it might be something important." He called, hoping Derrik would follow.

Derrik nodded, really to both accounts from the other. Commando made his choice of pants more comfortable and he did want to see what they had both seen. This time he planned to actually remember to surface for air if he needed it.
The anticipation of seeing what it was, and being behind Jade with a perfect view of his back side, made the short swim seem to take even longer. When they came upon the spot, Derrik took a deep breathe as he surfaced, and then dove down swimming towards the flashing glowing orb. It seemed to be reacting to him, getting brighter as he got closer. He wrapped his fingers around it, and then swam to the surface.
He pulled his hand out of the water to show Jade what he had. He himself was not entirely sure, till he saw it in the light from the sun. You could just make out a flower with in its core of swirling magic. "Oh wow, I haven't seen one of these in years."

Jade get swimming, unaware of being oogled as he surfaced and floated over the area they had seen the shiny object, letting Derrik retrieve it instead. He brushed water-darkened hair out of his face as he waited for the other to surface, glancing around. It was peaceful and warm, he half expected his brother to show up or even his father, demanding he start attending court once again.
He snapped his thoughts away when Derrik surfaced, blinking curiously at the orb he held. He recognised what it was, but couldn't recall where he'd seen one. "What is it?" He asked, poking the smooth surface of the orb, glancing inside it at the flower.

Derrik flashed a tooth smile, one of those smiles that would have made a canine sparkle. "Its an orb... Jareth uses them. He traps memories in them, and rumor has it other things can be trapped with in them as well. I have no idea what one is doing here, though. I wouldn't think he is the type of person to just drop his orbs anywhere."
He rubed his hand over it and it seemed to hum with its glow. "I have never seen one react so much to an individual though. Its rather amusing."

Jade examined the orb further, watching it react and swirl with a fascinated expression. He'd never seen one this close. "Oh I see....it's really pretty!" He said, swimming around a little to see it from another angle.
"Maybe, it was left here for you. Like...destiny or something?" Jade asked curiously. "It looks like it likes you" He commented, swimming around behind Derrik so he could wrap his arms around his neck, hugging him from behind.
