So sad, I ran out of material and fabric after doing the bodice and skirt and bloomers...
So my family is going to be burglars. I'll post photos of my pregnant stripey belly.

I had a list of ideas for a halloween costume....
Be Wilma Flinstone, and write on the dress
Pebbles on board
with an arrow pointing at my belly,
the Virgin marry, but i think that would offend a few members in my family lol
but what is hard is im going to go to my cousin's 3 year old's birthday party and its themed super heros.
i was thinking of being the Bowler from Mystery men, just a pregnant virsion of her. she wears a black dress so it might work, i dont know.... or i found my old catwoman mask and be her.

I think a pregnant Wonder Woman could be cute - or you could go as the mom from The Incredibles, just pre-JackJack.
And since Walter is going to be asleep for our halloween party, costumes may change... I'm thinking of going back to being a pirate, because I think I have enough spare rennaisance things to dress my husband up.
Walter, I'm trying to decide if he's going to be a construction worker (he has this toy hammer that makes bonking sounds when you shake it - he thinks it's the greatest), either that or spaghetti with meatballs - take his red sleeper, and white yarn, and brown pompoms...
Soo hard to pick.
But I just want a chance to wear my sexy pirate corset - my non-maternity corset top is juuuust stretchy enough that I can still wear it right now. And I already made the skirt and head scarf and bloomers. I just have to beg, steal, or borrow a yard of muslin. Matt can wear my other piratey shirt, my men's jerkin, and his black pants, tucked into his boots. I've got sashes and bandannas galore. I'd better remind him not to shave for the rest of the week, so that he looks like he's got stubble by Halloween.

I actually found out after digging through my rennaisance and bellydance stuff that I had just enough to make me and Matt into pirates... Here's us: Here's the preggie pirate:

I could see how it'd be feasible to be a pregnant pirate too....I mean you're on a boat...for how long...

Those pirate outfits are SO cute, especially you as a pregnant pirate! ^.^
I ended up just wearing a rather simple outfit with orange and black (black dress, orange tights Rofu found, hardcore boots and no makeup cause I had to mend the sleeves on the dress and by the time I was done with that, I was both too tired to put it on and wanted to get going), to a party rather than dressing up in costume. It was a tight black dress, which I'm surprised I fit into. Rofu pointed out that with that thing I looked REALLY pregnant! ^_^;;
They don't celebrate Halloween here, really, but some people use it as an excuse to throw a party.. our friends even carved a pumpkin. ^.^ But no one wore a costume of any kind, and no one else dressed any differently than they normally do (well, they dressed nicely, but no different from the way they usually dress for parties).
If we'd had more time and had managed to find some good Halloween body paints, I'd have had Rofu paint a Jack-O-Lantern onto my tummy and would have just gone in a belly-baring shirt instead of a dress... and probably painted up my face or something.
