I play piccolo sort of. I just got it last week and i am still trying to adjust. I can still play most of what i could play on flute though. biggrin oh i almost forgot, i play at high school level.

I play the picc. too! I love it! Especially when I get music with really high notes, like the G that's like 5 ledger lines above the staff. That note is so fun to play. It annoys the crap out of everyone. Except my BD. LOL xd Technically I play in the eight grade band, but my BD is always asking me to play for the seventh grade and high school, 'cause I'm the only person in our school that can play it. Well, there is someone else who can, but she doesn't have band this semester.

I don't play piccolo for school anymore but I have one. I am sometimes able to play that really high C neutral . It's just so high and loud and everyone around me gets mad when I try playing it. Oh well. Oh by the way I'm a freshman in high school.

Hay all biggrin I play pic too. The high C... no problem for me biggrin we are playing mother earth this year... goes up to the C... (No Joke) I'm a junior in high school by the by...
I have been having issues with the high Bb though.... it wants to come out lower than it should... arg... not sure if its me or my pic. so if anyone has advice could you pm me... pretty please.

Piccolo heart !
I'm a junior in high school, and I'm the principle piccolo of my school. It's my 3rd year on picc. Haven't managed to get that high C yet, but the high Bb will come out nicely (usually). One piece of music asked for a high D--above the C, yes! ... I took it down an octave. It just wasn't happening, although I did look up fingerings.
I love hurting people's ears. Anyone who's ever had to sit next to/in front of me at a football game now runs if I have my piccolo in my hand. biggrin Fun!
