I am currently pushing for this concept-Anyone ever wondered what are straws for? I know they're useful for drinking that tiny bit of liquid at the bottom of the cup/can/glass and a little more hygienic, but what else? It's basically for convenience sake, which i find that we can do without.
Production of straws uses plastic which comes from oil (of which prices are rising rapidly) and are a problem to dispose of as straws are not exactly bio-degradable.
