It somehow led to me joking about having one myself, to which I commented "Yeah, I wouldn't do it unless I lost a ton of weight, mohawks don't look good on chubby or fat girls."
But I got to thinking, do they? I don't see very many, but I've seen an artist who draws chubby girls with them and I find them quite lovely.
But I can't think of a single chubby or fat girl I've actually seen with one. Is it because they really don't look good? Surely not, I'm certain there are several smokin' hot big girls out there rocking them, as well as some big girls who it looks horrible on, just like there are skinny girls out there who look absolutely horrible with them. I don't believe no big girls look good with them, just that it's harder.
I realize probably some people are thinking "Mohawks don't look good on anybody, gross." And really, I just have a weakness for "alternative" fashion (not that you can tell by how boring I look, lol). I realize not everybody is into that.
So, my first point of discussion, I will bold it so people not wanting to read the rest can find it easily, lol:
Anybody have/found any photos of bigger girls with mohawks?
Also, I've wanted to do a boy cut for some time now, but have convinced myself 'til I at least lose 20 more pounds I'm not going to allow it. I had a pixie-cut my mom gave me when I was little, I hate those photos 'cause I think I really look like a little boy. So it's kept me from doing it (pixie cuts I will never do again, but I do adore the longer boy cuts), I've somehow got it in my mind that only skinny girls look good with boy cuts. For those not sure what I'm talking about, I'm including a couple photos of what I'm talkin' about:

I realize my example isn't fat or even chubby, but that's the hair I'm talking about. So here is my other discussion:
Do you feel larger girls can pull off shorter/boyish hairstyles? Do they look good in them?
Even though I know I should say "******** what other people think, it's my hair and I'll do what I want! Part of me thinks "If you cut it that short, you'll look like a man." When I think about it, it's utterly ridiculous for me to think that.... the skinny girls I see with the hairstyle that I admire have no curves, or significantly less than me, and should look much more boyish and less feminine... but I feel the exact opposite. Is it their sharply angled faces? I don't know, but I'm curious if anybody else feels the same way.
If you have photos of big girls with boy cuts, or even pixie cuts, please do share!
Also, talk about hair in general, what looks good on bigger people, what you like, the styles you prefer. Your own style.
I look very much like the girl next door, partially 'cause I'm cheap, partially 'cause I really enjoy playing around with different styles and will dress like an old lady one day, and an "emo five year-old" the next... so my longer hair flatters me and changes well from one look to the other, lol. Although I'd love to see a girl in a granny sweater with a broach like I have sportin' a mohawk, that would be awesome.
