I'm tired of cheap goldfish and $10 dollar tanks. I have a budget ($70) but don't know where to start. Again TIRED of the 50 cent goldfish that don't live 2 months!

You could try a step up and try a beta fish. =_= I'm tired of goldies too, but I've heard that betta fish are good to try to care for if you're not much of a goldfish fan.

'Feeder' 50 cent goldfish can live for years, provided you get one that has no pre-existing disease.
This is rare, since they're usually kept in horrible conditions before and after they're sold, but they can live upwards of five to ten years if cared for correctly.

I second silberseele's comment. With a good comet (feeder), you could get a fish that lives for years. Mine lived upwards of seven.

That is good for a basic tank, then you cna get cheap live bearers, or a nice set up with dwarf groumis or tetras.
