As you probably all know, the last set of 10/Martha books come out tomorrow. If you are planning to buy one (or two, or three), I'd like to recommend Snowglobe 7! It's incredibly gripping, and the monsters are genius! It has an incredibly fantastic concept for the setting, and some great thrills!
Spoilerific review bellow (highlight to read): The opening prologue really sets the scene. I like the Flisk, they seem like quite a cute race! We already see that the Earth is somewhat in danger, as one of the characters un-covers a scary monster! It's something of a spider/monkey which is interesting. Towards the end of the prologue we see the three explorers buried alive, a wise and brave choice, I have to say. I think it's so heroic the was the Flisk (i forgot her name) made sure the robot buried them. The robots are way cool by the way.
To be honest, I felt a little confused once The Doctor and Martha stepped in. I kind of had to sit and think a while, before I understood how the Snowglobe's worked. I won't explain it all here, as it's all in the book, but the Snowglobe's are saving the polar ice caps from being lost to global warming.
There's quite a lot of politics going on, which bored me a little. But I did read it all. I kind of forgot about half the story actually. So, a little further in, we find out that some horrid disease is spreading! Then...there's some fighting...and some epic Martha...and suspense...and a cute robot...and stuff...and a crazy lady who is about to infect the world and turn all the humans into spider monsters...
I don't think I'm good at reviews. Ah well, I guess you'll have to buy the book to find out what happens in the end!
Oh yes, I see you are all going to ask, how is it I know how good the book is? Well, I've read it, that's how xD You see, my dad's best friend is the author, Mike Tucker. He sent me his last book too :3 Hoo har.
ONTO THE POINT OF THIS TOPIC. Discus how you like the books so far, and expectations and speculation for the new three!!!
KEEP READING FOLKS!

Heh, cool. Have the 10/Donna books been announced yet? EDIT: I Wikipedia'd them, September 2008. Mark Moris has one, which is good, 'cause his other one was awesome.

I'm not really a fan of the New Series novels, but I picked up Sick Building out of Paul Magrs loyalty (I'm a big fan of his non-Who novels and EDAs) and enjoyed it well enough.
Might try The Pirate Loop next since I've loved what Simon Guerrier's been doing with the Bernice audios and novels lately. And also since pirates.

The Pirate Loop is great if you like pirates in space. It's rather odd actually. It's got some interesting twists in it.

The Pirate Loop confused me at first. I almost stopped reading it 'cause I thought the author hadn't checked the continuality.

I quite like The Pirate Loop. Took a few reads, but there are some really good comedy moments in it, along with a few tense ones. Simon Guerrier has got the Doctor and Martha perfectly.
It can be quite confusing in places though, which is why it took a few reads.

I remember when Guerrier was talking about it in DWM saying that he had to check with Justin Richards (the line's editor) how complicated he was allowed to make it. He was told to pitch it at the level of the first two Harry Potter books, but below the level of the third.
Sounds from what Katy's saying that he ignored that. Good for him. smile
It also sounds like that's definately where I'm going to give the NSAs another try. Possibly on a 'Buy One Get One Half Price' with Martha in the Mirror which looks my sort of thing.
