after the last system update, ive noticed that my PS3 does not download
ANYWHERE near the speed it use to.
for example...i could d/l a 1GB demo in about 5 minutes, give or take
now it takes me like 10 minutes to just get 10MB!!!
hell when im updating my games versions, it use to only take a split second, now i have to cancel it and restart it multiple times in order for it to completely d/l because it will just stop d/ling in the middle of an update
and this only happens for d/l content to the PS3, the internet still runs fine, i can still play online without a problem, its just wierd
is anyone else having this problem???

Me too!
I was JUST gonna make a thread about this.
It took me almost half an hour to download a theme/wallpaper combo from the PS Store!
that's just ridiculous considering I am working at somewhere between 70 and 80% efficacy.

mhmm im there with you it used to take me no time for a demo or w/e and now it takes like 2-3 times as long as it used to do crying

i haven't tried to dl anything since the update, but i was going to get echochrome soon. that stinks that it's taking so long. it was long enough to begin with.

My download has never been fast on wireless. I get way lower performance with wireless...we're trying to run an ethernet cable through the attic into the living room...but the people screwed up building the house, so we can't do what we want to do. It stinks because downloads and online games are way faster for me with a wired connection rather than wireless.

it would suck for me to attempt to wire my ps3, all of my consoles are wireless. i'll just deal with the long downloads, it's no big deal anyway, i don't download that much stuff.
