did you know that you can make a ball with it, if you combine a lot of these flowers together, i made one a while back but i lost the picture hahaha>.<, the way i learn it was a bit different when folding each petals, but i think you can still make the ball of flower with it=D

yeah, the girl mentions it in the tutorial, but I havent tried attatching them all together yet. I think they're so pretty on their own anyway! I'll definately have to try it sometime.

Wow, those are really neat! *book marks link*
I might have to try that, seeing as I'm in this semi-origami phase right now. But I first I need to figure out what to do with the pile of finished cranes I have on my desk xD

when I was thinking about hanging paper items, I first thought of cranes! you could do that with the cranes you made. just a little fishing line, and a tack.

My senior schoolmates hung colored paper cranes on the roof of their dormitory room and it really looked so cool!

And I should try those flowers. They'll look cool lying around the house or hanging on the roof! biggrin

Aaaw they're pretty! I tried it with some small post-it notes too, and tape. I found them a little hard to get used to making, so small. I made a few big ones after a bunch of small ones, and i found using a hot glue gun for bigger ones you want to use for hanging etc was better... i tried a tape one but it kind of was loose? and wet glue made it soggy looking (though the paper was kind of lame, very thin). In the end I made a small one and glue guned it to a tiny hair clip, heres a picture. Kind of small and easy to make smile .
I think the music paper you have would make a really pretty hair clip!
(sorry for it being a bit blurry, but you understand the idea right?)

I think it would be cool to put them onto a chain or something, kind of like tinsil around the room. For what holiday or occasion, or maybe for decoration, im not sure. But it would be nice smile .
Also, maybe you could put them on boxes, i tend to paint or papermachey my storage spaces... and i think it would be cute to have some of these flowers hanging off them as an 3-D effect.
Im thinking of makign a bunch of different oragami flowers, and making a bouquete out of it, these being the main, they are by far the most eye-appealing flower origami. smile .

Thanks so much for the tutorial~ it made me really excited and inspired!

http://puupuu.ojaru.jp/zu/zu.html I found this website has the traditional ones like the other site, and several variations. I made a traditional one into a ball and tried the "Present of Froebel". Just the instructions are written a little weirdly cuz they're not a native English speaker. But nevertheless... I think mine came out beautifully, though the ball of flowers sure took a while! 60 papers folded and glued @__@ Hee, though I did drag my little sister into joining my folding factory~
Now, if only they could smell as nice as they look! (It just smells of nasty glue sweatdrop )

I've been working on a bouquet for one of the guys in my office. Only snapped one pic of a partial:User Image
After I get them together, I use an unbent green paperclip to make a 'stem' and put them together with glitter glue inside. I call them 'office art'. lol
