*Sighs* "C'mon Gabrielle. I have seen much worse than this in my days as a warlord, besides I need a good strong ale after a day like today."
Xena walks into the shabby, smelly bar despite Gabrielle annoyance. They find a table in the corner like always and order their food. Xena orders two ales right away, both for herself. She chugs the first one and than drinks the second one more slowly.

Like you said, it was a long day.
-Pats Xenas hand, and forces a smile while secretly holding her breath, so as to avoid the unwashed, ale soaked smell of the warrior. Even after all this time on the road, I still find hygiene a hard thing to give up.-

Xena doesn't notices Gabrielle's disgust, but she does see that she is unsatisfied about her meal feeling bad (and intoxicated) she leans over and gives Gabrielle a big wet one on the cheek.
"I'm shorry thisss food is mush. How about some nutbread? you looooobe nutbread." Gabrielle's stomach growls and Xena very loudly and aggressivly orders a loaf of nutbread for Gabrielle. In a few minutes a beautiful, warm loaf is brought to their table and set in front of Gabrielle. (Unknown to both our heroes, the nutbread is once again laced with henbane.)

-Blushes by Xenas rash acts, and words to the innkeeper. Was just about ready to leave and go to bed right then and there without any food, but then warmed up to the idea of staying once the deliciously sweet smell of the freshly baked bread wafted to her nose.-
I guess it has been a while, hasn't it?
-Could barely talk without spilling the saliva watering in her mouth. It's been much too long since they'd eaten something warm, and so without further ado, ate over half of the bread in front of her. After a few moments, with glazed eyes, she insisted that she was full.-
Mm. Xena, this is sooo good. Like sunshine!
You have to have some.
-Licks fingers, and then waves the plate in front of her drunk companion.-

The smell of the nutbread makes Xena's drunken stomach churn but before she can refuse the enthusiastic Gabrielle shoves a large piece into her mouth. She painfully chews it up and swallows it, fighting the rising vomit. In a few moments she starts to get even more dizzy and decides to run to the out house. By the time she gets there she forgets she had to puke in the first place and is distracted by the tiny, pink, glowing Joxer's buzzing around her head.
"Son of a bachae!!" She screams while swatting them away and runs back into the bar only to see Gabrielle....
