Hello all.
I've been planning to make a few batches of taiyaki, but I can't come up with any really good ideas for a filling.
I know red bean paste is traditional, but I'm looking for something else.
Any ideas?

I'm still trying to come up with ideas for taiyaki fillings.
Today I made yakitori and miniature onigiri.
Japanese cooking week for me.

lol, the skittles commercial they had to turn down. it seems you can turn a man to skittles with the midas touch, you can prance around singing about berries and cream, you taste a rainbow, but you can't crap one out on tv. Quote: Taiyaki (鯛焼き, Taiyaki? , lit. "baked sea bream") is a Japanese fish-shaped cake. The most common filling is red bean paste that is made from sweetened azuki beans. Other common fillings are custard, chocolate, and cheese. Some shops even sell taiyaki with okonomiyaki or a sausage inside.
