I know it's just for satirical purposes, but, isn't pixel art when you draw pixel by pixel? IE; not just when you use the 1px pencil in ms paint?

Pocky-chan I know it's just for satirical purposes, but, isn't pixel art when you draw pixel by pixel? IE; not just when you use the 1px pencil in ms paint? it is but I aint really gonna hold it against Parade since it is satirical in purpose....

It's funny that you mention it, because if you go by Parade's definition, all digital art is actually pixel art. Perhaps there is a serious misconception as to what the societal definition of "pixel art" is.

It's funny that you mention it, because if you go by Parade's definition, all digital art is actually pixel art. Perhaps there is a serious misconception as to what the societal definition of "pixel art" is. No no no. How is it that I could make more then one pixel at a time with my mouse? I didn't. I just didn't use a grid. But yes I know what you mean. When I made this I was going to do a really simple avitar edit, to show exactly what I was talking about when I say avi editing isn't art. It's whoever created the avitar + your edits. Your picture was a bad example of what I was talking about because it's all redone. Actually the only thing I really count as pixel art is avitar edits, and paper dolls. I am sorry if I had confused you before. A lot of things I said came out sounding a lot less like I had planned them to. I fumbled some words when I was angry. Being told you suck by the boss of the art fags can do that you know.

i think i prefer this version of showing your dislike towards pixel art than your arguments...i dunno, i see it more as art faggy by turning your opinion into an artform (whether in jest or not). ...reading from the other posts i don't think iconoclast ever said that your opinion sucked. The Iconoclast You have every right to express your opinion. This isn't the rest of Gaia. I won't bite your face off for it. But I would appreciate it if you were more clear about it in the future. I would like to say that avatar editing's actually pretty hard to do well; most people are HORRIBLE at it, and once you've gotten past the base part, creating clothes and parts for avatars is just about the same as drawing clothes onto things you yourself created the base for. I'm not saying it's legitimately original, but I do allow pixel art to be posted in the AFG, and so I feel avatar art is alright to post as well. Feel free to dislike it as much as you want. Feel free to let people know. As long as you don't get surprised if people argue back with more than "u dun understand is my art!!!!!!!!!!!!!." This isn't Picture Post, the AFGers can bite.

Well I was refering to the "mediocre pencil sketches" part. I was angry after that bit. Icono later said that wasn't directed at me. But It was too late. I don't know why I don't remember this post. Maybe I didn't see it before, which is bad. That post is a good one.

I generally discourage people who I think "suck" from hanging out in the AFG, whether it be an art thing (which it usually isn't, because anybody can actually post here), or a personality thing. I don't think you suck, I admire the fact that you have some form of artistic scruples. I disagree with them, but I have my own entirely different set of what people might consider equally a**l artistic scruples, so I can't really shoot you down for it. I respect that you have an opinion, and I was serious when I said the mediocre pencil sketches thing wasn't about you, it was about the fact that the most recent thing I had posted was an avatar edit, but previous to that, they'd all been really mediocre pencil sketches. D:
