I was thinking since the guild account has more than it can handle why not spend it on subforums, I think that's all you can do with them really? Anyways, why not buy one for Final Fantasy 1-6. Sure the playstation titles are fine games, but the ones before them are just as great if not better!!!
People could discuss strategies and fin combos for FF1, and probably talk for hours about each character's story in FF6. I would definately like have discussions for FF4 on which was better... Paladin Cecil or Dark Knight Cecil? Plus an "I Hate Edward Thread" where we could post as many spoony bard jokes as possible!
Also it might be even more fun for all members to have a Final Fantasy Tactics thread... to more than likely discuss strategy and story.
I think another good thing to come out of this is, further education. Not everyone knows about or where to get stuff like FF5, or why they should get it. With small spoiler free threads we can give those who are not familar with the other Final Fantasies an overview of what they'll get out it.

Hmm, instead of a Tactics subforum, why not have a subforum for all the non-numbered FFs (not including ones that are spin-off of numbered ones)?

I think the main problem is that Chaos.Ultima.Mage hasn't been around lately. I'm certain that those forums were planned... I helped plan them. But the captain of the guild hasn't been around lately. It would seem that there aren't even many of the mods coming back to post in here. I think Ravenwolf might be the only one.

Mm, chaos has definitely been around (unless someone else has been taking care of join requests), but not posting, I guess...
I personally prefer fewer subforums, actually, because I have a really slow computer, and more subforums means an extra five minutes waiting for an extra page to open (*slightly exaggerating*). They are nice for organization, but if they don't get updated enough, there's not really a point. Most of our current subforums only have a couple of threads going. One for earlier games could be a good idea, and maybe one for Tactics or side games in general, but I'm just worried nobody will use them.

Chaos was the one who took care of my invite, I remember talking to him. So I guess he's just busy. Anyways, I see your point perhaps we could say something like "FF:The Golden Age(FF1-FF6)" it'd be cramped, but at least there would be some kind of thread for it. It'd be nice to educate and even learn a few things myself about the earlier FF's.
However, I think Tactics(Along with Advance) should get it's own thread. It's a quite different way of challenges, and it came in the silver age. (Heh, I don't know why I'm classifying them into ages like the comics. sweatdrop )
Oh! And It might be nice to have a FFXI thread for people out there. Just becuase you know... it's huge by itself and stuff. So that would make a total of 3 threads spanning 9 games. It works I think question ninja

I think the subforums should be as follows:
FF1-6 - As much as I love the earlier games.. there aren't enough to people that have played them to really fill this sub forum to the brim. With all those titles it'd most likely be just as active as the other subforums, if not less.
FFT, T:WotL, TA, TA2 - This series has become immensely popular with it's releases on portable systems and would have a ton of activity to be sure.
Other FFs and offshoot series' (CC, legends, mystic quest, choco games, XI, etc.) I placed FFXI in here because despite the fact that it's an enormous game with several advanced storylines, it doesn't seem to be popular in the smallest amount here on gaia. This subforum may not even need to exist simply because of the severe lack of activity it would get.

That sounds pretty good. I'd certainly be willing to talk about the offshoots, but yeah, it probably doesn't need to have a subforum of its own. Out of curiosity, would you consider titles like Ehrgeiz in there too?
What about Kingdom Hearts? We hardly ever talk about it here, but it does say right on the main page that it's included in the guild. Making a subforum for it could make people realize that we can talk about it here... but if not, it would just get ignored as well. Personally, I love those freaking games just as much as the main Final Fantasies, but would anyone else here post there?
