UGG. SO. Last night, just as I'm thinking "Hrmmm I should probably go to bed", my hand on my jar of ink slips and the thing goes down, topless, onto the floor.
Good news is: I only got ink on the carpet.
Bad news is: I got ink on the carpet.
And now I need to tell my dad what owns the carpet. I'm praying he'll be like "Well, the carpets ARE over ten years old, they're scuzzy anyway" because I honestly don't care that there's a black splatter across my pink carpet, I think it gives it character. Still puts my stomach in knots thinking about having to tell him about it. >_<
On the other hand, the part of me that's not fearing his wraith atm wonders if he expected this to happen since I set up my drawing table in my room. ARG. Carpets are the bane of artist existence.
HAD TO VENT.

All I can find is rubbing alcohol, but most of this is for broken open ink pens. I don't know if it will be different for your ink.

yeeah I just broke it to him and he was thankfully less P/Oed than I theorized he'd be so thats good at least XD Going to get a scrap of carpet to make a "patch" under my work area so if it happens again, I don't make the carpet even worse XDDD
I SUPPOSE IT JUST LOOKS LIKE AN ARTIST LIVES HERE OR SOMETHING.
): I hope I can find more ink around the house. It was Winsor Newton too, so it was pricey. ;^;

Oh my. Windsor Newton is very nice... now I want to go buy art supplies crying
I used to keep a rug under my desk so I could spill on that. Now I don't spill my paint... like ever. It isn't even possible for me to do it.
I do spill food though, so I keep my rug under the couch and table where I eat xd

I destroyed the carpet in my apartment with a combination of cats, combat boot grime, and pumpkin spice lattes. D:; Still trying to find a way to get these orange damn stains out of my cheap-a** beige notreallycarpet.

At least you didn't do it at an anime convention/hotel art table.
Which I did. gonk
/shudder
Still, that's pretty bad... Maybe you can convince your dad to install wooden floors?

I get my ink and some other stuff from Jerry's Artarama. I hate going to Michael's or anything like that. http://www.jerrysartarama.com/

My... ********... God... You did not just insult teh awesomeness of soymilk. talk2hand Seriously though, I'd date a guy who isn't afraid of asking soymilk. Soymilk is awesome good, especially with the right brand. Cow's milk is epic fail.

SINCE PEOPLE ARE STILL POSTING IN THIS THREAD:
SPILL UPDATE- I found a small pink rug that is kinda close to the color of my bedroom rug down in the studio and stole it to put under my drawing table to avoid future spills and hide my shame. XD
Additionally: I only like soy milk as like... it's own special drink. I don't think it tastes anything like milk though XD
